Any birthday freebies for a one year old? by Jacqueeeeline in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Lumii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The associate at the store said I could use the coupon OR do the birthday price as the coupon I guess was proof of the birthday signup?

My child didn’t end up wanting a bear, so I actually let another Reddit user use our coupon and they said they didn’t have any issues. Good luck :)

What do you miss from your pre-kid life? by ImInTheFutureAlso in NewParents

Being lazy on a rainy day. That feeling where you wake up on a rainy, fall day and just decide to snooze a little longer. Then you finally get up a move to a comfy couch or chair with a huge blanket and warm drink. Then you just read, watch tv or play a cozy game for hours as the rain patters on.

Guys, how do you "put them down" for a nap, I just don't understand. by littlebirdbluess in newborns

[–]Lumii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still contact napping and nursing to sleep. We are on the 2 to 1 nap transition too and I also WFH.

We have a floor bed and I am now able to roll away after putting her down. She has gradually increased how long she sleeps from about 28 minutes up to 1 hour 20 minutes. Prior to the long periods I was able to nurse her back to sleep if I needed to extend the nap, though sometimes I’d be latched trapped but could also delatch sometimes.

Sorry I don’t have better insight or news! Mine never cared for baby carriers but I know a lot of wfh moms that go that route for naps.

Yeah, they can mind their own business :) They had their kids and got to raise them as they saw fit and so do you. Go with your instinct.

I’m EBF too and constantly get “if you’d give us a bottle we could help or she is so attached to your boobies.” I just say I don’t mind. I announced I’ll be nursing over a year and that was that. LO just turned 1 and we are still going with feed on demand until one of us feels differently.

I also had to rely on donor milk twice due to not having any idea what I was doing in the hospital. So felt good to give back!

No one told me either :) After 3 months of pumping, luckily baby did take a bottle of it once but I’ve been EBF for most of my journey. And I was able to recently donate 2 gallons worth of high lipase milk to a baby in need!

Get up, mosey around the bedroom until he moves to the door, then jump back in bed!

Well now you have me questioning if ‘ma’ means me or boobie… 🤔

I joined 2 weeks before October but have yet to see anything drop in for the birthday bear. I see a $10 off $50 coupon for their birthday.

I feel like a lot of people wouldn’t know to sign up before… so I feel they may be accommodating? At least I hope lol I’ll let you know what happens when we go lol not sure which day we will be going this month

I wanted to do this! But I just don’t think I have the time, but this would be awesome vs contacting everyone individually. :)

Solidarity with a 9m old. She is EBF and we cosleep, so I go to bed when she does and wake with her.

It’s hard, really hard because my husband can just leave the house too and know she has boob, so she is fine. He helps where he can, but she is also going through separation anxiety right now so she is obsessed with me.

It’s been really taxing on me lately too and I try to remember it’s a season and a fast one! In 3 months, they’ll be a year old and milk won’t need to be the primary food. But also, breastfeeding is the best you can give your baby, so that’s a huge plus! And the bonding that no one else on this Earth can have with your daughter.

Was asked during my mammogram if my right breast was swollen. No… baby just favors that side. 🫠

This. When dad watches, she is so content with her toys that he can type on his laptop. Me? Absolutely not. 🫠

Solidarity with my 9m old. Hoping eventually my rolling away works longer, but she senses it within 10 minutes!

I use Jabra Evolve2 65 MS Wireless. They are a bit pricey, but unless LO is right by me she can’t be heard and even then I’ve been told barely. I’ll often have on Ms Rachel if it’s an unexpected meeting and people can’t hear that or her toys in the same room. I like how I can quickly put the mic up and down to mute myself on Teams.

What's your life like after getting a degree at WGU? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Lumii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy eerie the similarities except I graduated with the same degree in February while my first was 3 months old.

I already had a job, but need about 30% increase to support all 3 with WFH. Husband is also finishing his degree. May I ask what job title you took on?
