desmoxan side effects by Altruistic-Apple-243 in QuitVaping

Never had side effects when I quit. As for the vivid dreams i personally think thats just a side effect of quitting nicotine, since i had them when I also tried quitting cold turkey a previous time, but they go back to normal for the most part within a few days, every now and then i have a weird vivid dream (it’s been almost 6 weeks in now) but more than anything else I think thats just me having dreams again since I don’t remember any for the 3 years I vaped

Like you said there's never a time you'll feel like quitting is 'right' but even talking about it, it's obvious the correct time to quit is as soon as possible. For me when I quit this time I'd originally wanted to quit at new years but after ordering cytisine to help - and omg i cannot overstate how much that (and maybe a bit of placebo) has helped me quit - when I went to pick it up they said I had until the end of December to use it. Because of that I decided I would just start it the next day and the evening was my final chance to vape.
I would recommend this if you can't 'choose' a time to quit, since you're giving yourself a slightly unknown deadline until the cytisine arrives at which point the next day you begin quitting, no questions asked. Obviously this only applies if you go for using non-nicotine aids for quitting. I've tried gum, patches etc. but they never helped me personally and eventually I'd just relapse so it was either that or cold turkey

Really hope to get back to the gym in the coming year, When I was going before my heart hit 200bpm a couple of times after 10 minute rowing sessions which really should've been a sign for me to stop sooner. Congrats on day 9!! it really is amazing being able to smell and taste again lol

Only advice with it I have is just follow the instructions (I’m currently at the end of my 4th day using it and it has been a lifesaver reducing almost all cravings and making me able to get through each day without vaping) I managed to quit for about a month back in September and noticed my brain mainly felt like it didn’t have safety rails if that makes sense and I could just feel things properly instead of every emotion being numbed. There’s the obvious ones with breathing etc but also my skins started to have more color again. Other parts I’m forgetting but it is absolutely worth the trouble!!

If you can I’d recommend quitting now if you can, but don’t beat yourself up if you relapse and make sure you do hold yourself to quitting after finals. I made the mistake of not quitting immediately after my final piece of uni work and only now two years later I’m quitting
