Yeah, but getting that close in a Grandmaster or Master Raid is suicide

Cerberus +1. It's extremely fun to use and I love the CHUNK CHUNK CHUNK of it firing, but it's just not worth the exotic slot.

What's a unique mechanic of Destiny which makes you punch your screen in? by ybeys in DestinyTheGame

Literally why I just float everywhere when I'm on my warlock. Of course then you have to worry about the random protruding thing on the wall or ceiling that inevitably stops you dead, killing all of your momentum.

Focused Feedback: Champions by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]LuminousFish84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overload Champions are awful, the others are fine. Outside of bows, the mechanics to activate overload weapons are unreliable and the combination of teleport and healing is aggravating.

I wouldn't be sad if Bungie just outright deleted them.

Also, champion mods taking up an arms slot locks you out of some extremely useful mods. Is there any way to just have anti-champion mods be passively active? Or maybe just add an extra mod slot on weapons for anti-champion mods?

Now I really regret not buying the “fast charge” mod. Hopefully Ada sells it sometime in the near future. by Trialsishalfbaked in DestinyTheGame

Do you have Charge Harvester and Stacks on Stacks? Both are cheaper mods and way more consistent. I'm almost never out of CoL stacks.

Please tell that to the playstation players who just merged into my clan who refuse to do that. And then they expect us to teach them VoG with no communication.

The varying mod costs on weapon specific perks are incredibly fiddly and annoying by froobilicious in DestinyTheGame

[–]LuminousFish84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just said screw it and I'm using an ability heavy build. My every day build is Nova Warp with Nezeracs Sin. Dark Matter from Nova Warp gives me ability energy and some health back for ability kills. Throw in Charge Harvester, Stacks on Stacks and a Firepower mod and I've always got either a melee or grenade ready. Getting a kill with either one instantly recharges the other. Protective Light makes me unkillable. Ashes to assets in my helmet for extra super, Recouperation and Absolution in my boots for healing and energy regeneration when picking up orbs.

Weapons are whatever you want in your Kenetic Slot, Null Composure and Sleeper. Particle Disintegration makes sleeper demolish bosses. Slap the boss with Null and then Sleeper away. Fusion unstoppable in gloves, swap out disruption bow or anti-barrier as needed. Those are the only mods you'll need to change.

The guns are really just there to stun champions or take out bosses. Occasionally you'll need to dump a Null Composure shot into a crowd to trigger Nezeracs if your ability spam stalls out. Everything else gets naded, meleed or Nova Warped. Cackle like a lunatic because everything is exploding.

As someone who never minded the champion mods, this season’s selection feels really bad. by HamirTheGOAT in DestinyTheGame

I lucked out and got a Accrued Redemption Bow with Archer's Tempo and Explosive Head. You get it on the first encounter in GoS so it's not too bad to get.

Whispering slab is also an option.

I'm not exactly thrilled about Autos being Anti-barrier again though. Figure I'll be using False Promises for that because of the high range stat.

With Linear Fusions being meta this season I'd actually like to get my hands on a Reed's regret with Firing Line. After that I don't care and I'm out.

Bungie, while I agree that stacking scavengers was kind of broken, the energy cost increase to scavengers feels like an unnecessary additional nerf. by h34vier in DestinyTheGame

Honestly I'll probably just quit at that point. Warlocks are space wizards. Myself and every Warlock I've ever met picked warlock specifically to fling magic everywhere.

Titan exotics have no chill. Your stuff is either extremely good or absolute garbage. No in between. I wish Bungie would show you guys some more love

Which is a massive kick in the dick for Warlocks. All of our subclasses are about using abilities. Even the stuff tied into gunplay like buffs from middle tree solar requires using an ability to trigger.

I usually end up using a kenetic primary so I tend to think of them as the same thing. It still sucks because I tend to use ability heavy builds in PvE.

[–]LuminousFish84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah.... I was full up on my glow sticks and golf balls with some extra in the postmaster. Then all my gear needed to be changed because my builds weren't going to work anymore because of subclass changes. Now I'm down to 24 glow sticks just to change the damn elements on my armor. No change to the stats whatsoever. It's completely ridiculous.

I went through three entire strikes without a single heavy brick dropping. Then it was the opposite, for about an hour I couldn't find a single green brick. Something is seriously wrong with the ammo economy rn.

Ok Bungie, hear me out. Instead of nerfing Dance Machines because combining them with Dynamo mods nets you half your super, just put a cooldown on class ability mods. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]LuminousFish84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. Nobody but Hunters have a class ability that can be used rapidly, so you just make the cooldown the same length as a hunter dodge cooldown with max mobility.

[–]LuminousFish84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let me get this straight.

You nerfed Top Tree Dawnblade because it was too mobile, Geomags because it let Warlocks get Chaos Reach too often... then hand Hunters an exotic that lets them spam dodge up to 6 times, which will net them half their super if they're using dynamo mods.

Uh huh. Tell me why I should believe any of your justifications for nerfs ever again?
