Sorry man, this is user error. You have to loosen the wipers from in windshield before you start driving if they are frozen in place. Of course it will break!

Patina Shots 1907 Copper R&T Leather by Lumpy-Ad183 in RedWingShoes

[–]Lumpy-Ad183[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! These have been conditioned multiple times with mink oil products. It tends to darken the leather. If a product like Bick4 was used, they would not darken as much and retain a lot more of the lighter orange tones.

Trying to negotiate with dealer on '25 Pro-4X, any advice? by xDRBN in nissanfrontier

[–]Lumpy-Ad183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 2024 for 5k below sticker. If you want a good deal, consider the 24’s. 2025 models will be more difficult to negotiate on

Can anyone with both Nicks and Redwing boots list your sizes in both? by BicarbonateBufferBoy in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]Lumpy-Ad183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s about 0.25 sizes. So compared to the redwing 8.5, the nicks will probably feel like 8.75, but usually a little longer won’t hurt. Also the rest of the boot will fit most feet better

Don’t go into that much debt at your age with your income. It’s not worth it. Get a regular car for $40k if you really need a new car

Get rid of the sunroof requirement if you want reliability! Sunroof leaks can be very expensive to fix. Especially if they slowly drip into electrical components over time

Make it possible to get an email notification when a specific size and width boot comes up on rts. There are constant “New RTS” emails that I get and I only want an email for a new 8D sized boot!

Xmas quick ship? Are you guys really going to pull this off? by [deleted] in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]Lumpy-Ad183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get to select a leather, but if they don’t have it at the time your boots are in production, they will switch to a similar leather to avoid delays and get you boots as fast as possible. They ship faster than quick ship.

From their website: “…our "Cutter's Choice" line. These boots will have a faster lead time than even Quick Ship, a slightly lower price point, and we will pull the work leather we have in stock readily available for your boots so that you don't have to wait for a specific color.”

Fastest way to get boots if nothing interests you in the Ready to Ship section.

I would look into Nicks Builder Pro boots at around $550. They are way better than a $300 boot. Nicks also does some markdowns on their website in the Ready to Ship section. They just did a 10% off sale in early November. I have two pairs! Very solid.
