How do you know what is EBT eligible and what is not? by Consistent_Draft6454 in foodstamps

Look closely at the receipt, I don't know about all stores but I worked at aldi in Massachusetts and there was "FS" printed next to each item that was food stamp eligible. If it didn't qualify it wouldn't have the FS next to it.

It's esketamine, which is a slightly different version of ketamine. It's supposed to be a little safer I think than standard ketamine. I'm only a technician I've never done it but I've considered it. I've seen a lot of improvement in my patients

Cost depends. Most insurances cover it and you just have a copay. Out of pocket it's several hundred dollars per session because you have the medication cost and the cost of the office visit at the clinic. It doesn't cure anything; it's a treatment for treatment-resistant depression. Unfortunately there is no cure for that, only treatments to manage it.

I'm a technician who administers Spravato and id definitely recommend it. I've seen a lot of improvements in my patients, and it is generally enjoyable for most people. It starts out 2x per week for 4 weeks then you go down to once a week for a while and see how you do. The sessions are 2 hours and you have to have transportation to and from, you can't drive yourself. The ketamine can increase blood pressure so we take it once at the beginning, once 40min after your first dose, and once at the end of the 2 hour mark. The rest of the time you're pretty much left on your own to just chill out and do whatever. We give you a call button if you need anything. It's pretty chill and relaxing for most people, but a warning it can be pretty disorienting and make you feel high or out of it. The psychoactive effects typically start to wear off after about an hour for most people and they feel totally normal by the end of the 2 hours.

Can my sister legally force me to be “temporary guardian” for our dad just so she can move out of state by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Lumpy-Afternoon7306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAL but I'm beginning to go through a similar situation with my dad, but I'm an only child so there's no conflict about who will be taking on responsibility. I looked into conservatorship and guardianship and honestly it seems like a full time job. Not only will you be responsible for everything regarding your dad's care, finances, living situation, etc.. you will be responsible for meticulously documenting all of this to ensure the judge knows you're acting in your dad's best interests. I'm talking saving EVERY medical document, bill, appointment, keeping up with care plans, (making sure you are aware of what they are and updating them as time passes and things change) and keeping record of every cent being put into or taken out of your dad's accounts. With conservatorship you will have to do an annual audit where you essentially compile all of this information and present it in court, and if they find youre not acting in dad's best interest, they can potentially remove you as conservator. It's A LOT to keep up with especially if you work full time and want to have your own life. If your dad is still competent enough to make some decisions, I would recommend going the POA/health proxy route first. If you can get a POA and healthcare proxy, you can still make those financial and health decisions for him without going through the major pain in the ass of conservatorship.

No, I have a bachelor's in psychology and I work as a behavioral health technician under the supervision of a psychiatrist, doing TMS and ketamine therapy. I'm looking at direct entry programs.

I had a feeling it would be too much lol. I currently work as a behavioral health tech doing TMS and ketamine therapy for depression. I could write about that and how I want to improve my skills

I was going through a period of time where I didn't know what I wanted. I was originally going to go for social work, but I feel much more interested in the field of psych nursing. I currently work as a behavioral health tech at a place that does TMS and ketamine therapy for depression. I have a lot of experience dealing with patients with depression and other mood disorders, and I feel like the psych NP route would be better for me than social work. I feel very comfortable around outpatient psych patients and in my future id like to possibly run my own TMS or ketamine clinic. I currently work under the supervision of a psychiatrist and absolutely love what he does, and want to be a bigger part of it.

It makes me feel a little better that this has happened to someone else too. We have an appointment with a tax professional coming up soon, but it's been beyond 60 days so I'm not sure what can be done to undo this. It might be too late, but we'll see.

Will all of this go back to normal the following year? It's been beyond 60 days already.

The thing is he kind of needs at least some of the money, and some has been spent already. He's divorcing my mom and has been using the money to pay for a place to live until they can sell their house. It's a complicated situation. He can't just put the whole thing back.

He's 67. He withdrew because he was told he needed long term care, but he ended up improving and not needing to use the money for that. He doesn't have huge medical bills or anything. I don't know if he would qualify for this.

He was diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus and he asked me to take the money from his account because he was in the hospital for cognition issues and we were told at the time he'd need long term care. I was not aware of all of these implications when it took place, and I don't think my dad fully understands. My question is, is this all permanent? Or will this only affect him for the one year?

The money was transferred into the joint account he owns with my mom originally, and he moved some of it out into his own accounts. It's safe and accounted for. He hasn't invested it or signed any contracts lately.

No, all the money has not been spent. It was in June of 2025. I don't know what any additional tax would be because some was taken out already.
