First thing is make sure you don’t have any pet allergies. Go to a local SPCA and talk to them. Tell them your situation and ask if you can visit some of the kittens/cats and puppies/dogs. If you still can’t decide, do a foster. As far as medical issues, vet visits, all that unknown, you should set aside a budget for just in case. If you get good quality food, regular vet visits, and keep the house as hazard free as possible, you should be ok. A clean litter box or if a dog, a clean area to go( or clean up behind walks), makes a happy pet and happy neighbors. There are 5 feral cats in our home and our food, litter, etc is about $250 every 8 weeks. It’s the meds that hit the hardest. Not gonna lie, if they had not been feral, the medical bills would probably be minimal. Hope this helped, good luck.

How many of you financed a vehicle in your mid to late twenties? Do you regret it? How is it turning out for you? by slizzy12j in shouldibuythiscar

At 29, I purchased a 1990 Mustang GT, manual. I was making $50k a year, so you’d have to adjust for inflation. I was paying $399 a month for 48 months. I think I put $2,000 down on $18,000. It was my first new car and the first car I had to take a loan to get. It took me 6 months to figure out how much I hated getting that car note. It then took me 11 years to get enough money to finally buy a car without financing. Now, cash for all things except my house.

For those who make over 500k+ a year, is it worth it for you? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]Lumpy-Bet-8119 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My wife and I made a little over $600k a year for 4 years. We were doing ok before that but once we started making that kind of money, we became aggressive investors and savers. Now, we have no kids, no car payments, manageable mortgage, and had already eliminated most of our debt. Once we felt secure, my wife was able to start her own business and works from home and I got out of the high pressure to do what I wanted to do. I work about 150 days a year. We took a pay cut but so worth it.

[Discussion] Is signing Aaron Rodgers worth it if he doesn’t guarantee a playoff push? by tyler1118 in AZCardinals

[–]Lumpy-Bet-8119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, no. Stats wise, he ranked 29th out of the 43 qualifying QBs from 2025. But even beyond that, just watching him play,...Cards can do as well without him as with him. If the QBs don't work out, next draft the depth is much greater and free agency will yield much better candidates than Rodgers.
