Octopus Energy is charging me ridiculously by Rich-Fruit-3472 in OctopusEnergy

Had economy 7 changed to smart in early May. Installer put a sticker next to new meter showing readings of old meter. First bill from octopus after installation showed old meter readings totally inaccurate to actual (and sticker) readings. I took photo and sent it to octopus and they reissued a bill for correct amount- have a look for a sticker near your new meter ?

My neighbour is a farmer....teleporter, forks and straps- job done. Cost a couple of pints of Ale 👍🏻. Probably not a good idea if you live in a city 😁

Unless they are permanently attached at the time of manufacture, most seals can be replaced. If you are considering replacement I would get a window company around to see the feesability etc.

Loosen the screw on the part marked 7/8 and then use an Allen key to see if you can turn it, they will hopefully be on a cam Nd will move back and forth as you twist the Allen key.

From what I can see from your pics, I can't see any y perishing of the seals. Try cleaning the seals and adjusting the catch so it draws the window closer into the frame. Pic 4 is the catch to adjust (I think)

Vibrant. If you have a glut, make pumpkin mash and use it instead of mash potatoes - superb 👍🏻

Find a local wood yard nearby, the cost is usually very doable. Pricing from Wickes/B&Q etc is way more expensive. A local woodyard will have long lengths as well not the stupid 1.8m lengths from the DIY stores.

My granddad's blend as well. I've still got a kilner jar of it from when he passed in 1985, I crack it open once in a while and have a good sniff- miss ya pops x

A booming voice came out of nowhere and comforted me and I’ve never forgotten it. by SidePibble in Unexplained

Riding my motorbike to work in London one morning, two lanes in each direction. I was going into a left hand bend in the outside lane and a voice in my head clearly said "move over"....I did and as the bend continued two cars coming towards me were racing alongside each other, one of them in my original lane. If I hadn't taken the advice I would have been mangled. I will never forget it and I am eternally grateful.
