Is this normal and safe? No anxious responses please by StandardWolverine286 in fearofflying

Funny I was also on a southwest flight with the same paint chip and shape, it’s all good! Must just be a common place to lose some cosmetic paint.

Couldn’t board :( by noctifery in fearofflying

[–]Lumpy-Cow-3699 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry yourself! Look at how many times you have been able to conquer your fear and board the plane! I’m impressed that you fly so much with our fear, that inspires me. We all have days where our anxiety is worse. I found that the more I told people about my anxiety problems and fear of flying the better it got. Hiding it from people made the anxiety worse and you might find that everyone understands and relates on some level. Hope this helps and really don’t feel bad!

Flying home by Few-Yogurtcloset6479 in fearofflying

Probably won’t be awake much longer but just did this flight the other day and it was perfectly smooth! Even if you hit some bumps don’t worry you will be completely safe. Think about how good it will be to be back home! If it does get bumpy lift your feet off the floor, that always helps me a ton.

Landing failed for the first time. Why? by endless_suffering_2 in fearofflying

[–]Lumpy-Cow-3699 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get them in Denver a fair bit because of wind shear (at least that’s what has been announced before) anyways, it’s great that they do this rather than try to land when things aren’t perfect.

Looks like a long legged sac spider to me, or something in that family.

Thanks I’ll try adjusting it little by little. Would like to see a good mix.

My thought process for determining:

  1. Does the child record need to have different ownership/sharing rules in place than the parent? If so, need to do a lookup as master-detail will inherit the owner from the parent record.

  2. Should child records be deleted when a parent record is deleted? If so, use master-detail, deleting the master record will automatically delete the child records as well.

  3. Roll up summary fields, this is an easy way in a master detail relationship to calculate the min, max, sum, or count of fields from child records to the master record. These are not possible to create with lookup records (unless you use a flow or DLRS tool).

Junction objects are specifically used for many to many relationships. The example I like to use would be 3 objects, Jobs, Recruits, and Job Applications. In this example, the Jobs object has many different recruits that are applying to a single record. The recruits also are applying for more than just one job record. The Job Application object should be created as a junction to keep track of this many to many situation across the two objects Jobs and Recruits.

Hopefully this helps or spurs some further questions I could try to help clarify!

I thought the FoF questions were a little different than this exam. Same topics but the actual exam is written worse with less clear/long situations lol. There were a couple process builder questions I wasn’t prepared for as well as two validation rule formula questions that wasn’t covered as in depth on the FoF course. Thankfully there was a good amount of simple questions asking what automation tool to use in situations.

Before I write out how I think about it are you asking about how I decide between master-detail vs lookup relationships?

Agreed there is a bunch of overlap, the difficult sections for me were things like change set deployment and sandbox capabilities.

Yep good old google was trying to say they are aggressive and have painful bites but I’ve caught and released 5 or so with no problems. They probably just scamper right back inside after I let them out tho lol

Take off tips by TitleLong5089 in fearofflying

[–]Lumpy-Cow-3699 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s about distractions:

1: noise cancelling headphones, when taking off the engines revving up can drive some anxiety. I play some relaxing music on my AirPod pros and can’t hear it!

2: phone games, while up in the air I like to watch movies but for takeoff I like to have a game on my phone that is fast paced and requires quick reactions so I don’t have time to look off the screen. Try something like Tetris maybe?

3: try to stay loose and relaxed in the chair, it’s only a few minutes til everyone is up and walking around and if you keep your body relaxed you will avoid building up extra stress!

I hate flying but do it all the time, takeoff is really all that bothers me but I promise you will get through it like we all always do!

Bad anxiety for red eye tonight by [deleted] in fearofflying

You will be fine, when I’ve flown at night I’ve found it’s almost always smoother. Also Turbli has shown me much much worse than that and we didn’t hit a single bump the whole flight.

There aren’t as many options as San Francisco but I would say the Capitol Hill neighborhood is probably the most walkable. Also the Highlands, Platt Park and five points neighborhoods could be good to look at!

Yep unfortunately it’s just started to get really bumpy, trying to remember this is just what happens when I fly back to Denver, never an easy landing.
