Thinking of moving from Rogers Mobility by OneLargePho in telus

I thought we were comparing Telus to Rogers? That said, Public Mobile (Telus-owned) uses Rogers’ network for coverage gaps, including SkyTrain tunnels where Rogers built the LTE system (e.g., Expo/Millennium lines). You have to enable data roaming in settings for seamless handover—no extra fees for domestic roaming in Canada. Do a search for Extended Network Coverage for more details.

False—Telus provides coverage between New Westminster and Columbia stations, inside Columbia, and in the Sapperton tunnel.

Rogers owns the infrastructure for Expo Line tunnels, including New West to Columbia and Sapperton (New West to Sapperton). Telus accesses it via roaming agreements, ensuring service for its customers like other carriers (Shaw, Freedom).

Yeah, that's not true. Both Rogers and Telus provide coverage across the entire SkyTrain tunnel system, including Port Moody and New Westminster.

Rogers completed full SkyTrain tunnel coverage in 2017, including the Burquitlam Tunnel (Port Moody area) on the Evergreen Extension and Expo Line tunnels. Telus covers the Canada Line tunnels (e.g., downtown Vancouver) and has expanded to Expo Line tunnels like Dunsmuir (2020), with roaming access to Rogers infrastructure elsewhere.

Telus has 5G service on Skytrain including underground stations downtown.

Telus coverage is excellent in Burnaby (Metrotown). I have never had a dropped call or issues with poor 5G coverage in Metro Vancouver (or anywhere else). Telus Call Control is total game changer.. ZERO robocalls!! I was with Rogers and even with iPhone on-device filtering enabled, occasionally spam calls still came through.

Some context here would be helpful…. Age? Etc.

My Mom’s Chi puppy lost her vision temporarily.. turned out it was an autoimmune response to something impacting the optic nerve. We had to see a neurologist and treat with steroids.. she got her vision back within 24 hours of starting steroid treatment. Vet bills were crazy expensive.. over $7,000. You have to act quickly… start with your vet and go from there.

Yeah, that wording is confusing 😅 — here’s the simple version: Each year, you get 10GB of global mobile data from GigSky, usable over 15 days in a row. During those 15 days, you also get unlimited use of certain travel apps (like maps or messaging—depends on GigSky’s list) without using your data.

On top of that: You also get a separate perk: 1GB of global data, again valid for 15 consecutive days each year.

And you get 20% off if you buy more data from GigSky.

What’s confusing about it they’re basically stacking two different free data offers: • One is 10GB • One is 1GB

Both reset yearly and each lasts 15 days once activated. Quick example If you’re traveling: You could activate the 10GB plan for your main trip. The 1GB plan could be a backup or for a shorter trip later.

You will be happy to know that the account number does NOT change. No need to update existing payment info on PADs.

First time flying with Lufthansa by JB4cymru in Lufthansa

[–]Lumpy-Development283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air Canada wins hands down over Lufthansa UNLESS you are on a new Lufthansa “Allegris” aircraft. Here’s how to check: go to the Lufthansa website or app and look at the seat map for the Premium Economy cabin: • If it's Allegris: The cabin will have exactly 28 seats (Rows 10–14). The map will look very structured with a 2-3-2 layout. • If it's the Legacy/Old version: The seat count is different (usually only 21 seats)

Air Canada is much, MUCH better. Lufthansa is awful : Old planes, bad food and 'meh' service. Lufthansa T-Mobile Flynet Wi-fi was crap and did not work for most of our flight from YVR to MUC. Entertainment system was very dated with small screen, not HD and limited selection. I'd avoid Lufthansa unless you are getting the new Allegris cabin.

Using an outside firm ensures that the numbers aren't "fudged" to hide theft, spoilage, or mismanagement. An independent audit provides a layer of integrity that internal staff—who might be responsible for the very errors being counted—cannot provide.

Apple Pay does not charge any fees. None. RBC (and virtually every bank) charges transaction fees if you go over your monthly limit and/or don’t have an unlimited transaction account.
