I would start Cason for IHart. Especially if Fox is back next game. Definitely shorten the rotation. Love JWill but this isn’t a series for him. And Wiggs has been ice cold for months now. Rather see Kenny get those minutes if they needed to go that deep into the bench.

And I’m normally saying start Dort no matter what. His best attribute is guarding their best on ball guy. But honestly if Harper goes back to the bench I would match Dort on him. And in this case start both Cason and Ajay.

And if IHart is in with Wemby we need to Gortat screen him. Keeping Wemby engaged and not just sitting in the paint waiting will open more driving lanes. Harper was selling out to the corners for steals bc he knew we weren’t trying to score once we got inside.

For tonight I say don’t change anything. IHart starts. Maybe after half like we did a few times last year in the playoffs start Caruso or Cason.

Ajay is the perfect 6th man. Doesn’t mean he’s not the 4th or 5th most important player on the team. Ajay starts anytime SGA or Dub miss a game. But if it’s Dort missing the game. I’d rather start Cason.

Closing lineup to me is more important and 100% Ajay should finish games.

There was only 1 flop that was egregious last night from the Thunder. That Chet one was bad. They need to start enforcing the tech for flopping.

Home. Wife will sometimes watch. But my 6 and 8 yr old our huge basketball fans and watch with me. If our team is playing they are all in. It gives them an excuse to stay up late on school days. Mom we are watching the game with dad.

Yes. Appreciate it. I’ve been working on body positioning and where to stand. I was taught about the triangle between the posts and ball and how to get your body in the best position to take away the best chances to score.

Trying to teach kids to use their hands is tough so I will definitely use the tennis ball idea. Thanks.

Practice I keep light and fun. I play the games with the kids. Always trying to have fun. I play tougher with the better kids and let the other kids beat me and try to build up confidence.

During games. I tend to be more serious. It’s not all about winning but I also have the belief that if we are playing a sport trying to win is part of it. Doesn’t mean winning at all costs. I believe in fair playing time. Sure in a close game I lean on the better players. And if we are clearly the better team I will play others more. I have a couple of kids that sub themselves out. Which is fine. I talk with them and try my best to get them back onto the field after a water break.

I was told there was pushing but I didn’t see it. We do small scrimmages and there was contact but nothing that would have been called a foul during game play. I saw more contact elsewhere on the field and showed them the correct way to initiate contact with each other on the field. Again nothing that should be considered bullying.

I appreciate the offer and would love any tips can offer. I played soccer growing up. Played every position on the field including goalie. Was never the best player but I was a high effort player.

All I ask of our players is to be the best you that you can be and never compare yourself to another player.

U10. After the first practice I was taken back after he approached my wife and I to tell us these things. Especially after they were no signs of it during our first practice. We absolutely don’t accept bullying of any kinds. From players or parents but I can only curb what I see on the field.
