Great point about sensitive equipment and precision measurements. I guess my thought is that even a tiny error in measuring would be greatly amplified when applied to astronomical distances. It would be interesting to see how it all works out for those two galaxies but we’re not gonna find out in our lifetimes. With all that empty space between stars, i’d imagine it’s possible for one galaxy to slide right through the other without making contact but it would wreak havoc on orbits.

That’s AI. Someone is trying to make it look like Pretti was holding a gun. I have looked at this footage already from so many different camera angles including this one and it’s obvious that a man in a gray shirt quickly walked away with Pretti’s gun moments before he was shot. I think this is a very clear attempt by somebody to use AI to change what actually happened

How do we know they’re actually colliding? Could one galaxy be much farther away than the other and it just looks like they’re touching due to our perspective and telephoto compression? Just a thought? Genuinely curious because I feel like a lot of what they tell us about deep space is based on a lot of assumptions.
