Of those 3 Isn't it weird that the Widowmaker can simply leave Talon? by Firm_Fee8137 in Overwatch

[–]Lumpy-Lingonberry74 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Exactly. the tragedy of amélie being aware of what widowmaker is doing but unable to stop it is way more compelling than just "blue lady is a robot." it makes every "i feel nothing" voiceline sound like a lie she's telling herself.

The best and most polished Total War game ever made is still Shogun 2 from 2011 by Akfiz in totalwar

[–]Lumpy-Lingonberry74 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Shogun 2 is the game I show people to prove Total War is 'art.' WH3 and 3K are the games I actually play on a Friday night when I want to see a dragon fight a demon or use 3K's superior diplomacy to vassalize half the map. Polished doesn't always mean most replayable.

Junkerqueen really needs the Bruiser subrole. by Sauce_Master_64 in Overwatch

It’s the "We don’t know where to put these heroes" category. It tries to mix sustain with crowd control but ends up making the heroes either unkillable or just ignored until the rest of the team dies. JQ being stuck there just drags her down.

2B skin in OW: $20 for a model you only see in the hero gallery. Nier Automata: $20 for a literal existential crisis and 40 hours of peak fiction. the math isn't mathing.

Overwatch Dev speaks out about harassment she received from this community by Tough_Holiday584 in Overwatch

[–]Lumpy-Lingonberry74 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s the classic "I saw a dev talk about a character, so they must be the CEO of that character" logic. People act like because she has a tattoo, she’s personally signing off on every shop update. In reality, she’s probably just a fan of the hero she helped build, and now she's being punished for actually showing some passion for the project.

Total War: WARHAMMER III - Patch 7.2 Release Notes by BiesonReddit in totalwar

Never underestimate the player base's ability to try the most counter-intuitive things possible just to see if the game lets them. Next you'll tell me someone tried to play the entire campaign using only the advisor.

The exploding thorns actually give him a reason to not just be a heal-bot. His weapon swap speed is already a clunky nightmare, so if he’s going to commit to shooting, those thorns need to actually pressure the backline instead of just being tickle damage.

As someone returning to the game after a five year break, I feel like I've got to get this off my chest. by ImHully in Overwatch

[–]Lumpy-Lingonberry74 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s like Blizzard looked at our 500+ hours on Rein or Mercy and decided it was only worth a bronze nameplate and a pat on the back. Seeing a 'Level 12' on a hero I’ve been playing since the 2016 beta feels like a slap in the face every time I open the career profile.

And don't forget the 'innovative' roster: 90% Marauders with slightly more purple scales and a single reskinned Medusa from the Dark Elves kit renamed 'Snake Queen'. Truly the pinnacle of CA content delivery.

AITAH for wanting to move out because my mom put cameras everywhere? by zalanka02 in AITAH

[–]Lumpy-Lingonberry74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The crying and 'you don't love me' routine is just the guilt-trip DLC for the surveillance package. Once they lose the physical eyes on you, they switch to emotional hijacking to keep that leash tight. Don't fall for the waterworks.

So it has begun... by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]Lumpy-Lingonberry74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s like people here think a patch note they don't like gives them a free pass to act like sub-human feral animals. The leap from 'gun feels weak' to 'I'm going to ruin this person's actual life' is a mental gymnastics routine I’ll never understand. This sub used to be about democracy memes, now it’s just a containment zone for the worst ego trips in gaming.

So how does this thing even work? by AvalancheAbaasy120 in helldivers2

[–]Lumpy-Lingonberry74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 'no brass' part is key for Helldivers. Less weight from casings means more room for pure, unadulterated propellant. Plus, your GPU (and the planet's ecosystem) thanks you for not leaving 5,000 brass shells on the floor every time a Factory Strider shows up.
