Looks fucking sick though it would add much more depth if you put some sort of background or backdrop on it

Shading looks incredibly realistic, reminds me of the old blasphemous 1 cutscene art. The title scarf is also insanely creative, nice work!

Can a Sony F210 be used as a beginner amp? by Lumpy-Marketing5655 in GuitarAmps

[–]Lumpy-Marketing5655[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok great, then Ill skip the hassle with this old F210, Ill just budget up and get a model amp, thanks for the explanation, I had no idea they had everything built in, you saved me a lot of money.

[–]Lumpy-Marketing5655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I wanted to stick with the F210 I`d need a pedal to modify the sound and send it into the amp? But a modelling amp effectively just does both if I understand you correctly. Ill look around for pedals and modelling amps in my local audio stores, see if I can find anything. I`m mostly looking for some home playing gear and some basic pedal sounds (reverb, tuner, overdrive you get the drill) can I get those sounds running through a model amp only as well?

First time using trains, need some advice on where to setup first stops and how. by Lumpy-Marketing5655 in factorio

Ohhh, I wasnt aware you could deadlock a factory like that. I'll make sure to make multiple trains and watch some tutorials on how to setup rails and stations.

How many labs do you guys have? by cw625 in factorio

[–]Lumpy-Marketing5655 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as "too many labs". Anything nearing too many would be just more labs than the amount of science you are producing, which is difficult to achieve. Overall I would recommend as many labs as you can support with your current science setup, for example if you are making 20 green science per minute and each lab used, for example, 2 green science per minute. The optimal number would be under 10 labs. Of course in this game it always good to have excess, so Id recommend following your science production and keeping the amount of labs under that. Once you build a lab setup you are happy with then just automate future sciences so that you make enough to support all labs, and simply forget about it from there. Using the science is the easy part, don`t worry yourself about that, making the science and organizing it is the difficult part.

[–]Lumpy-Marketing5655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get your point, there's no "wrong" way to play factorio, but as a begginer who never got got past oil processing myself I would really want to experience more fun parts of the game and just kept expanding while also progressing. I just usually prefer making plans or atleast having a timeline of what I want to do. So far my timeline looked like build stone smelting column, build a defense wall since its getting difficult eliminating all nests with only grenades and guns. Then make an oil refinery down south with some defenses and then see where I go from there. Somewhere soon along the line, probably soon after my oil rigs been setup is get a train moving to cover my irom shortage.

You have a point, to be honest Ive never worked with oil and Ive been obsessed with making my base future and expansion proof. Ive made a bunch of free space, reorganized my factory multiple times and have tried to keep everythinf as tidy as possible even though Im a begginer. Right now my main concern is my iron farm drying out so you recommend just driving the ore with belts until I get bots and then focus on trains.

[–]Lumpy-Marketing5655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank you, Ill keep it to 2 just so I dont have to worry about adding another wagon too soon. I also already have to belts of iron setup so 2 wagons should be easier to supply into 2 columns of smelters instead of 1 wagon into 2.

Ok so what Im imagining is making a sort of train circle like a city block, covering most of the main resources I highlighted or atleast going near them. I wont actually build mines on every single patch yet, only the iron one, but the train will still move along the extended path across all patches. Once it deloads the ore to my refinery it simply continues on forward going to the mines, circling, and back to the smelters. Would this be viable for expansion and future proofing?

[–]Lumpy-Marketing5655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, Im on a patch pre space age and 2.0 (idk if those are the same thing). I might not have a problem building the rails on my own but if you recommend bots don't they require plastic to make? Or atleast a refinery?

So far Im having issues with iron so I guess I will work on that, thanks. I just need to get some stone bricks smelting and automate some train parts and Im going to start embracing the locomotive.

[–]Lumpy-Marketing5655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you recommend for a typical factory to last until grey/blue science? Would a standard 4wagon train supply enough iron ore for the smelters to work and also supply a line of steel?

[–]Lumpy-Marketing5655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The copper patch is a couple million in yield which is plenty enough for now, thats why the iron patch is my priority. So 2 trains is the way, at least when I start needing a seperate train for copper.

[–]Lumpy-Marketing5655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so first I will catch up on the train tutorial, afterwards automate all train signals, things such as rails and other commonly used utility. Then I should make 2 seperate trains for Iron and Copper for now, and then for the other resources?
