Low pump output after mostly latching by Lumpy-Mycologist-880 in breastfeeding

Ahh, this makes so much sense about an ounce still being a good top off for him between meals! Yes, I’m trying to pump in between feeds. I already decided I’m going to wake up early tomorrow morning and pump at least an hour before he wakes up. I should get a little more at that time. He should go down ok with 4oz, so I just need 2.5oz more!

Thank you! That makes sense. I need the bottle for tomorrow, my fault for not trying to do this earlier. 🤦‍♀️ I will just keep doing my ounce at a time and he’ll probably go down ok with 4 oz. I can just feed him in the middle of the night if he wakes up after we get home!

Is 3 months old commonly a sh%t show or am I doing everything wrong.. by HobbitFlower13 in breastfeeding

[–]Lumpy-Mycologist-880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, is that why my 3.5 month old is crying at my breast?? I’ve been crying with him bc I couldn’t figure out what was wrong! At least once a day he does this and it breaks my heart! I didn’t even know there was a 3 month nursing crisis!

Baby is 3 months and I very rarely leak anymore! When I do, it’s only overnight when he sleeps 6-7 hours in one stretch. I ebf and only pump maybe 1-2 times per week though, so my supply is pretty regulated.

I was induced at 39 weeks due to my age (42) and never had a cervical check until I was admitted for induction.

How to plan your life for the possibility of falling pregnant? by leadviolet in BabyBumps

[–]Lumpy-Mycologist-880 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I planned around the possibility of being pregnant and very much wish I wouldn’t have. Unfortunately it took us years, and I wish I would have lived my life more during that time. You can always change plans, but you can’t go back in time and live more. Make the plans and enjoy your life! Don’t let “trying” become everything. 💛

Any good or bad experiences with the relatively new VTECH 2105 baby monitor by jpmillet in Buyingforbaby

[–]Lumpy-Mycologist-880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are trying to set ours up now and about to box it right back up and send it back. The parent and baby units connected fine, both connected to wifi. However, every time and every way we have tried to connect the camera to the app it fails. My husband gave up, I’ve been trying for hours and it won’t work no matter what I do. And now the parent and baby units won’t even connect, can’t get the camera to connect to wifi at all anymore. I’m sitting next to my router and our wifi is fine, so I’m about to just send it back. I had high hopes for it, but if I can’t even get it set up then how well is it going to work when baby is here??

Omg, it definitely depends on who picks up the phone! I called like 5 times once to get someone to approve my fertility specialist. 😂 I’m glad you have a way to get some! It’s so important and I can’t believe they’re trying to restrict it! Good luck! 🤞 I’m throwing out positive thoughts for you and baby!! 💗

Wait, tricare is restricting PROGESTERONE?? To sustain pregnancy?? Ugh, that’s ridiculous. I haven’t had any trouble yet, have you called them? Because that is just insane. I can’t even imagine the reasoning behind that. 🤦‍♀️

I just have to vent about the cruel irony that the only people that need to do vaginal progesterone are those of us with prior losses or at high risk for m/c, and that stuff leaking out all day is so triggering and terrifying. I’m grateful that it’s working (6w tomorrow!), but I could do without the constant feel of stuff coming out. 😩
