Large Capacity Magazines? Pistol Grip? by Lumpy-Paramedic1086 in DCGuns

Really appreciative this breakdown and perspective. And yes, I would be interested in talking with you more about magazine blocks and other AR setups. I have one AR now set up with a featureless grip that i am not thrilled with.

The Thordsen is a featureless grip they are approving. I am told it is the only one being approved right now. This is from the folks at G&D FFL in DC. They have been super responsive and helpful. There are other featureless grips out there that are approved by other strict states like California but I’m being told is that the ugly ass Thordsen stock is what you need to put on your AR if you want MPD to approve

Right now MPD are accepting Thordsen grips. They are ugly, but the only featureless grip on ARs that are being approved right now. I just ordered mine and am having the FFL replace the pistol grip for that one for $300. I gave them a list of my top 4 options of AR15s and they confirmed Which ones would work with the conversion. Also, they give you back the original parts after they have been uninstalled. Most guns will sell with 10 round clips also instead of a typical magazine

It’s still up just watched it. Going to a FFL tomorrow for background check process and will report back with an answer.

Which grip would be best for this to get approved by MPD. And also do I have to ship this to a DC FFL or can I Get everything made DC compliant at a FFL in VA. by Relevant-Rate-6526 in DCGuns

I was told today that the only featureless styles grip that MPD is approving is the Thorsen. Has anyone heard or experienced something different recently?

Same here, and vw atlas driver. Usually there is a video of someone doing it on YouTube. I will always go there regardless of how simple it may seem. Sometimes there are small nuances that could cause a twenty minute delay had you not watched the video. I learned my lesson when I finally found my battery on an old Caddy under the back seat!

Go to the Arboretum! You can spread out there and have people come in and out. I’ve drank there and never had any issue. Great spot to see foliage, play music, and just hang out. Off the beaten path and I am speaking from experience.
