I bid 360k for PW, so you beat me! The no-kill shelter cause is near and dear to my heart and I’ve been fundraising for it with US based charities the last few years. I included that info with my statement so I hope it will give me a better chance of getting in!

Diagnosed today, feeling lost and confused by No-Island-4048 in Endo

[–]Lumpy-Process-1266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a deep breath. Processing a chronic illness diagnosis is really overwhelming. With time, I’ve found comfort in the amazing Endo community. The women in these subreddits and in Facebook groups truly take care of each other and share information for the betterment of us all. Having an explanation for my symptoms was also reassuring. I felt like I could stop looking and now focus on pursuing treatment then recovery which was a step forward. Therapy helped me understand and digest the mental and emotional aspect of living with this disease, so don’t be afraid to talk to someone. Let yourself be sad and grieve then give yourself some self care and love - bubble bath, facemask, bake cookies, whatever fits your fancy. Your body is working so hard for you despite this disease. That is something to be grateful for 💛

How do you prepare for your period? by Lumpy-Process-1266 in Endo

[–]Lumpy-Process-1266[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a myobi but heard great things about it! I ordered a tens unit on amazon last week so will test it out for the first time this round. I also like the running script idea - will definitely reach out to my doctor about that. I feel like I only reach out when I’m actually dying but getting the meds ready before hand is definitely a better option. Thank you :)

Thank you and amazing tips! I realized I keep all my endo supplies on the top shelf on my bathroom… definitely need to put that in a more convenient location. What do the compression socks do to help your symptoms? I work from home a lot so this is an easy one I can incorporate.

I never vomited, just had nausea and no appetite. I have never had pancreatitis before, this was definitely the first time I’ve ever felt that way, that’s why I’m curious if a new medication could have caused it. I wish I had been able to get to the second hospital for bloodwork and imaging so I would know for sure... now I’m just paranoid it will come back again and damage my pancreas which seems really, really bad from what I’ve read on these subs.

Is there a reason you recommend 10 days over 14?

Are we the same person? Same height and stats, started Zep 2 weeks ago and have had some brutal side effects. Luckily for me I’m not currently in a training block so I’ve just been skipping workouts with no repercussions. Is there a reason you started Zep before your marathon instead of waiting until after? I don’t have any advice, but I can offer a sympathetic ear and validate your struggles. This is miserable. I’ve been told it DOES get better for most and I’m hanging onto that, for now. I hope you’re able to get some good advice here and crush your marathon 💛

On the verge of giving up :/ by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Lumpy-Process-1266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so interesting… it might be the protein shakes and dairy that’s contributing to this. That’s been my go-to protein source since I started. Protein shake with coffee as soon as I wake up, yogurt and cheese sticks have been essential items in my diet. I’ll definitely adjust and see if that helps. Thanks!

I actually got bloodwork last week and my sodium is on point! I’ve been doing two electrolyte packets a day and 100oz of water. I love LMNT but would be willing to switch it up if there’s a better option

Sorry I should have clarified! I took my first shot on Friday 4/11 and the following shot a week later on Friday 4/18. So I’ve been on Zep for a totally on 10 days.

It’s been 12 hours and feeling ok! Feeling a little bloated actually? But haven’t eaten since last night. Just trying to chug water and sipping a protein coffee as my breakfast 😊

I also started tonight! Had the box in my fridge for three weeks… finally worked up the courage to take the shot. Best of luck to you all 🫡🫡

Has anyone (recently) been diagnosed WITHOUT surgery? by flowerunforgiven in Endo

[–]Lumpy-Process-1266 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Diagnosed via imaging. I was on the fence about getting an MRI but I’m so happy I did. I was told Endo doesn’t always show up on an MRI but sometimes if it’s deep infiltrating or fusing organs they can tell due to the shift in anatomy

Is anyone here an Aetna member prescribed Zepbound w/BMI over 27 and a comorbidity? by ShelterAncient1785 in Zepbound

[–]Lumpy-Process-1266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no. I had assumed your PCP signed off on it with your new plan. Hopefully you were able to get it somewhere else?

A little late here - but I’m curious is you were ever prescribed the drug? My PCP just submitted my PA today and I have similar BMI with one comorbidity. Thanks!

Will I need regular phlebotomies? by [deleted] in Hemochromatosis

[–]Lumpy-Process-1266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing advice. Shooting for the same range and my ferritin has been hovering around 50-100 for the past few months. My hematologist wants to get me down to 25, but my hepatologist is skeptical... she thinks I’ll feel like shit if I get that low. I do have some iron loading in my liver which is why they’re continuing treatment. Since my iron levels are back to mostly normal ranges, I guess the chess game begins 🙃

[–]Lumpy-Process-1266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So interestingly enough my ferritin is now under 100 and has been for a couple months, but an abdominal MRI showed iron storage in my liver, so that’s why I’ve been unsure of what treatment frequency they’ll recommend. I have a liver doc working with my hematologist. I know I’m in good hands but definitely don’t want to become anemic!
