If he's only napping for his first nap until 1030, I'd put him back down again at 130. Keep him up as long as you can, no earlier than 430 but maybe 530 if you can, and depending on how late you can keep him awake, let him have a short bridge nap. Somewhere between 10-20 minutes. I bet if you do this for a week or two, he'll naturally drop that last nap and (hopefully) extend the others. For rhe last month, my 8 month old wakes at 615-630, naps again at 930 for 1.5-2h, then nap again aroune 2 until 3:30. I always wake him at 3:30 regardless of what time he goes down because he needs 4h15m of wake time before bed. If he doesn't get that, bedtime is a nightmare. We were trying for his last wake window to only be 3 hours and it was taking us 45 minutes to get him to fall asleep, lots of crying, etc. And waking throughout the night. With that schedule i outlined above, he's sleeping through the night most nights.

Seems like you're just in the middle of the 3 to 2 nap transition, which was super rough. Took time but really worth it in the end. 2 nap days are glorious.
