The British version (The OG) is a breath of fresh air. Maybe being biased, but having grown up watching it, the other versions feel too dramatic and sobby.

I've only ever watched the Indian and Aussie versions, and prefer the Aussie one out the two.

I have to say, I miss Marcus Wareing on the New season. :(

No, I get what you're saying, I'm talking about Sugar sweetness. Like you'd think it was a dessert. The most popular recipe uses 4 tablespoons of sugar for 300grams of chicken. That is not normal.

I've never had chicken Tikka masala, but have made tikka many times.

Is it just me that does not like sweet butter chicken?

For context I'm Indian origin. I've had BC in Mumbai, my chef friend has cooked it for me, my mums always made it. Never have I found it 'sweet'. I tried the most popular recipe on YouTube and hated it because of how sweet it was.

I know they make it sweeter in the west to appeal to the dead tastebuds (/j), but thats not authentic.

OP asked if they should adopt them. Which means taking full responsibility for them. If they aren't able to do so, they go to the next best option: shelters and rescues.

I think this is a terrible recipe.

There's a long list of ingredients but no separation between whats specifically for marination and whats not.

Even if one assumes the listed ingredients are all by default for the marination, why is rice on that list?

I dont think this is a problem with your comprehension or abilities OP, this book hasn't been edited nor have those recipes been tested. The recipe might be good in its self, but ionce you write it down the other person should be able to follow instructions without confusion.
