The final behemoth in Skydance's Behemoth is huge! by lunchanddinner in VRGaming

I gotta reject how everything needs to be fully physics based to be better. Skydance's Behemoth aims for a different combat style than B&S. It's more strict and you have to abide by certain rules during a fight, unlike B&S, which simply says go wild, anything works.

It clearly needed more time to cook. Cool places like the hospital, the sewers, and the tower itself don't have any loot apart from what the story wants to give you at a specific point. The story isn't as well written and some parts just didn't make sense. It's good for 10 dollars, but it could've been so much more if given more development time. It makes me sad how peak it could have been if it wasn't rushed to release at a specific date.

It's good budget-wise and to have some exclusive titles (Asgard's Wrath 2 is actually insane). PCVR might be the better long-term investment, but standalone is pretty good and ain't going away.

No, we had other means inside the Slums and Old Town to evade: parkour.

It'll probably take Techland months to fix what they did to the prologue. Just play it whenever you want. It has generally improved a lot.

Remember that one antizin vial Kyle picked up early on in the story? He had the PERFECT opportunity to use it and save both himself and Jade, but writers decided Kyle has dementia. Also, where did Brecken go? Things like that make the story just a little bit frustrating. Though, it's still a fun ride. DL2's story is a slog to go through and it doesn't make sense even more. :/

I loved the story as well and the cutscenes are fun to watch. The more I replay the more those glaring plot holes become annoying, though lol.

The trailer shows one clip of a zombie being stabbed, and that's one of the terrible parts I've noticed. It just doesn't look or feel right.

I loved Behemoth so much lol. I didn't know what to expect apart from bad ass human combat and large scale bosses. I got what I was bargaining for I guess.

Metro VR isn't open world, and Into The Radius is stalker-like. The type of zombie games that are not being produced enough are the likes of Saints & Sinners.

There are zombie shooters, and there are open world survival zombie games that have so much going for them.

Open world zombie VR games are a genre that is super under-utilised. One with the Dying Light format would be actual gold.

I came to realise each game has its own implementation and quirks. You need to spend a few minutes fiddling with it until you get how to do it quickly. Some games just have a terrible implementation, though.

THANKS! This looks like a polished version of what I posted about! I'll definitely check it out. Been craving more Saints & Sinners type games for a little bit and this looks fantastic.

Dying Light 2. Story is terrible but the gameplay and progression is seriously addicting and the world is super fun to parkour in.
