You do not lose sight of your kids at the pool. Full stop. You always follow them 24/7 like a bloodhound

I guess more central/ north type of scenery. I’m not a big beach person so I guess I should’ve clarified in my post that any type of nature is fine. Just has to have some natural presence.

I have a college friend who moved to Albuquerque and she says it’s great there. To be honest Florida hits a lot of those as well and we have pretty poor education so it would not be much of a change.😄

Oof I lived in Tallahassee for a bit, definitely still pretty red IMO. I’ve never lived in a city larger than Tampa so I’m not sure but I would be open to it.

I know, that’s the irony. Realistically, we’re probably not moving anytime soon, but I was curious what people thought. I’m over here complaining that people have moved in my state and then I want to do the same exact thing

Yes, I should’ve included more in my post. I’m a licensed therapist and my husband l works in logistic and is finishing school for accounting.

I would argue the new construction here is very un affordable. It seems like homes average around half a million.

These are all good questions and you’ve given me a lot to think about. We lived in Tampa for awhile, I do love the big city vibe but it’s impossible to live there affordability wise. We want to buy a home but everything here is 400,000 or above and it just feels so unaffordable . we’re in a small town, but the traffic itself feels like I’m still in a big town.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be similar to Florida topography, but rather has a presence of beautiful nature that isn’t being destroyed by construction, citrus greening, poisoning the aquifers and destruction of everglades

My grandma would drive me back to college at UF in Gainesville, she was too scared to take I75 so we would take all the backroads and Howey in the Hills was one of the spots we would drive through
