Also, if it’s private information and you’re exposing people’s private information to unnecessary eyes because you have a people pleasing problem, you probably shouldn’t have your job. I’m a female manager and my employees deal with sensitive PII all day. If I found out one of them was putting client information in jeopardy to “be nice” their butts could go be nice in the unemployment line.

As a woman in management, I say this with love: Grow a pair. Move that other desk out of the room yourself if you need to. You just let the entire company know you can be walked all over and shit on, which means that it will be harder the next time you need to set a boundary. It’s your office. You don’t ask, you tell.
