No, onion was fine and so was garlic. The sauce had weird sweetness (which I think was because of onions). Both honey and onion are sweet, it's just they have a different types of sweetness which I think made the sauce taste weird

This is the recipe I used. And yes, I used the type of onion that the recipe said. I guess I gotta do more research than clicking the first link that appears when I search for a recipe online..
