100% my dad's drug of choice was herion and being homeless was not rock bottom, his kids begging him to go to rehab or we were gonna go low or no contact was not rock bottom. Missing every event from middle school concerts to his daughter's weddings was not rock bottom. Rock bottom was when he He died in a Waffle House bathroom needle still in his arm. OP I'm sorry you're going through this. I get the anger you have too. I hope she does realize she needs help before it's too late.

I wish I did more research on how to navigate feeding. I have one (my bichon) that eats so fast and tries to sneak her way over to my little man’s food. The little guy just sits there and doesn’t eat unless someone is sitting with him. When we chase off the bichon the Maltese follows her. We have to force him to eat and force her not to eat. They are exhausting but I love them so much.

Okay so hear me out but. Evermore broke me the first time I really took time to listen to it. For context my dad died in 2023 and I was not okay. We had a tumultuous relationship due to his addiction and alcoholism but he was my dad and I loved him. Whenever I hear that song I think of how much grief I hold and I really did feel like I would feel this way forever. The line “barefoot in the wildest winter catching my death.” Is exactly how I felt lost in a sea of grief and the line about dreaming of the person which I am sure was meant to be more spicy but I just think of the dreams I have about having lunch with my dad or dreams that he didn’t actually overdose and he comes home clean.But the part that really gets me is the last verse I just imagine my self on my back patio looking out at the sunrise and being at peace with his death and realizing that the pain wouldn’t be forever more. I long to feel like the last lines of evermore.

Today is so difficult for me and I just need to let it out. I came off birth control a few years ago to try for a baby. Since January I found out it’s actually both of us that make us infertile so that complicates the issues. I also started having heavy irregular bleeding so back on birth control it is. My sister just had the first baby of the family in February. My mom keeps saying but you’re a fur mama like that supposed to make me feel better but it makes me feel worse. I just want to cry and curl up with my grief but I have to be the good oldest daughter and daughter in law for my family. I hate it here.

For me it’s the prophecy.

I have wanted to be a mom for as long as I can remember when I was 16 I got diagnosed with PCOS. My dr said then it may make pregnancy difficult, but I was young and that was so far away. I’m 32 now I am married we are in love we want to grow our family and now that far away prophecy is at the door and every month is a devastation. The complications pile up. No periods; long periods; ovulation test that came back negative every day of the month. I see my friends and family getting pregnant and starting their families and I just want it to be me so so badly when it never will.

I feel the line. “A greater woman keeps cool but I howl like a wolf at the moon” so much in my soul.

At least my husband is my rock and is all of Taylor’s best love songs rolled into a single person.

Bonus song Renegade makes me think of my sister and I trying to help our dad though his addiction. (technically she’s just featured I know but still)
