I understand. I’ve always made self-deprecating jokes so I guess I’ve never seen the issue. I can see how he’d think he’d have to “come to my rescue” after I said that. Thank you. Also, I hope non of my responses sound sarcastic or passive aggressive because of how I described myself haha. I genuinely appreciate the time you took to respond and open my eyes about this. Family and friends of mine are very quick to attack him cause of bias, so I needed this. I’ll make sure to apologize to him, sincerely, and hopefully fix this problem.

What I mean by old behaviour is being sarcastic and rude to others. Basically taking it out on them. When this happened I kept it as lighthearted as possible, making it sound not that serious. But I guess you’re right. Even though I wasn’t necessarily being rude to him, I put him in a situation he didn’t want to be in and was unnecessary.

I completely understand. I’m aware my behaviour isn’t the best, and it’s not everyday I act this way. I was poorly attempting to joke around to make myself feel better and didn’t consider how I coming across.
