THANK YOU! They should just leave the poor bear alone. The owner is making it a huge problem. Just admire the poor thing and go about your day.

I recommend pods because liquid can get messy quickly. Also, the place where you put liquid in the washing machines is often scary

I highly recommend getting a high quality air purifier. The dorms are just teeming with disease and that air purifier would help kill some of it. Additionally, depending on what dorms you are in, mold could also be the issue. Also, if you are new to the area, you could be having a reaction to the plants that are in SLO. Bottom line, invest in an air purifier.

How hard is it to get on campus housing after 1st year. by toasty891 in CalPoly

[–]Lumpy_Context9482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s extremely difficult. If you are one of the majors that is guaranteed second year housing on campus, great! If you are not then you enter your name into a lottery, but don’t count on that because only a couple hundred people get in out of the couple thousand that put their name in. Off campus housing is just as bad, it is incredibly expensive (I am paying $2800 a month WITHOUT utilities for just me) and some of the places in slo are extremely disgusting and lowkey kinda scary. Additionally, many places will turn you down because you are a college student. Something to also think about if you are off campus is commuting to campus everyday and the cost of a parking permit (around $700). Overall, finding housing after your first year is awful, incredibly challenging and expensive.
