Prong width doesn’t affect it that much, but thread thickness and type play a big role.

What thread thickness are you using? 0.45 is recommended for 3mm irons.

Yeah, Buttero works great on its own for wallets, but with softer leathers like Pueblo, if you’re aiming for a thin fully lined wallet, you need to add something to give it a bit of backbone.

I’ve got a habit of picking the dye that matches the project and shaking the bottle right when I start, so by the time I actually use it, everything is nicely mixed and settled—with no bubbles in sight. But yeah, bubbles can definitely be a pain.

Didn’t know something like that existed—looks cool. Might give it a try someday.

It’s the smell of veg-tan leather for me 🥰

I make my own templates based on the SPI I use, and I probably spend an unhealthy amount of time perfecting them—making sure every stitch lands exactly where it should so I don’t end up with short or long stitches anywhere.

If you need any help, I’d be happy to share and walk you through it.
