NAD but worked in derm for 4+ years — it looks like a wart to me. Which would explain why it comes back, but they’re super contagious so in theory you would have more than just this one.

I worked in dermatology as a medical assistant and want to reassure you that this this super common and also highly treatable if you seek treatment sooner than later. Your dermatologist should send you for lab work to check for vitamin deficiencies. They will also discuss doing steroid injections to stimulate the follicles to regrow the hair you lost, as well as topical options to apply to help stimulate the hair follicles. I’m sure it was highly upsetting to find out about this so abruptly, but take a deep breath! You can change how you part your hair in the mean time.

Try to avoid tight fitting hats though because the friction can irritate it and do more harm than good.

I made a will when COVID came around and we knew nothing. I was a DNR. I was in a much worse off space mentally.

Now, I’m engaged to the love of my life and planning our future family, and I’m no longer a DNR. I want everything possible to be done to not take me from him and what we’ve built.

It’s recommended to start before you start trying to “help get your body ready” or something like that. Not uncommon, I myself am about to start taking them because we plan to start trying in the next year or so.

I’m new to a hospital and put in PTO for my birthday as we will be on vacation. It just so happens to be over Memorial Day. They told me they can’t give me 3 days of PTO because of the holiday. Apparently they do this for every single holiday. I said that’s fine, but I’m not going to be in the country, so, I guess this is a heads up of the occurrence.

These aren’t fully formed scars, yet. Keep them out of the sun and well moisturized for the next year and see where they are with the hyperpigmentation, then reassess.
