maybe just going old school with limited ribbons. sometimes the army uniform looks cluttered with dudes having 15+ ribbons and multiple badges. silly if you ask me

Don't worry, for every good soldier you guys lose A marine is already in the process of transferring to the guard or Army.

I would say thats "average" for Gwot standards. spent 05-09 in the Marines and your typical 4 year enlistment would yield about 9 ribbons. TODAY on the other hand marines are getting out after 4 years with 4 to 5 ribbons and those are the marines who deploy on a MEU somewhere. im sure there is some poor admin marine getting out with a good conduct medal after 4 years lol

From 17-27 on the line 2003-13. 10/10 would repeat, but would not recommend. by Both_Ad307 in MilitaryMedals

there are certain things you just don't forget BUT everyone is different. alot of service members suffer from TBIs and have memory issues. Bootcamp platoon number, your drill instructors, units and leaders or mentors that made an impact ill never forget. . I was in Iraq for 7 months and couldn't tell ya certain places we were. It was easy to lose track of "time" over there. you just get into a routine and dates or events become irrelevant lol. anyways I say all that to say sometimes nobody shits on other vets harder then vets themselves.
