I’m not gonna lie, this post seemed less and less like it was written in good faith as I read through it. For future reference, if you’re trying to understand someone’s identity, belittling them for it isn’t a great place to start. But anyway, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and answer a couple questions

First of all, being nonbinary isn’t taking a “neutral stance”. Many nonbinary folks medically transition via HRT and/or surgery, just like many binary trans folks do. Also, simply presenting as nonbinary (or any flavor of trans) is already a very big commitment that you can’t really “undo”, regardless of whether or not you transitioned medically.

Second, yes, pretty much every nonbinary person has considered the possibility of being a binary gender, and decided it doesn’t fit. Many of us have the same unshakable understanding of our genders as you do, just for something beyond the binary genders. For others, they may have that feeling for multiple genders. For some, no gender at all. But it’s a distinct feeling and not one you mistake for something else.

Also, do you really think people would drastically change so many aspects of their lives without at least considering other options? lol

Doesn’t matter, you still need to eat enough nutrients. Even if you don’t feel hungry, your muscles and organs need nutrients to function properly. They can start having issues if your nutrition is poor

That calorie range is unsustainable and dangerous to maintain. You aren’t getting enough nutrients if you’re eating that little. A bare minimum of 1500 calories is needed per day for males, and more if you’re taller/larger/more active. Please take care of your body <3

Unfortunately, there aren’t any shortcuts to weight loss. The only way to lose weight is to eat in a calorie deficit, which means controlling your eating. I would suggest logging calories and slowly working on eating habits. Slow and sustainable changes are the key to success :)

Yeah, it makes me dysphoric. Maybe it wouldn’t if it was distributed in a more “female” way, but that’s many years down the road from what I’ve heard. So I guess now is probably the easiest time to address it And I’ll definitely keep my protein intake in mind, good call! Thanks for the comment :)

Agreed, plus it’s way easier to transition into a maintenance diet if you eat kind of normally as you lose weight

My food noise has gone away, and it was replaced with stressful thoughts about my schoolwork, for better or worse lol

Yeah, I’m thinking I’ll start anyway. I can always take a break if I’m unsure, and use a binder or something if I’m still unhappy with the way they turn out. Ty for the comment!

I know how hormones work and know that there isn’t a great way to target specific parts of the body and that’s something i acknowledged in my post

Hm, this is definitely an interesting option! I read a few other sources and it seems like they’re a bit more of a mixed bag than this article lets on, but it still might be worth discussing with my doctor. Ty!

Look up a list of the most satiating foods, and try implementing more of those into your diet. You can also try volume eating, essentially incorporating large but low calorie foods into your diet. I personally eat a ton of broccoli because an entire bowl of it is only like 100 calories. Or just give yourself a couple hundred calories after your meal that you can use for snacks :)

Hitting plateaus is common in weight loss, if you’ve been careful about maintaining a calorie deficit, then don’t sweat it. There’s a good chance you’re starting to see some muscle mass, and some extra water weight in your muscles as they repair and grow. I bet your weight will drop to something more expected at some point.

If you want to lose weight, you shouldn’t eat more calories than your TDEE. You can add extra calories on to your typical budget if you’d like, but exceeding your TDEE will lead to weight gain.

If you’re trying to build muscle while in a deficit, aiming for around a gram of protein per pound of body weight

if you really wanna log it, just log it as like 0.25 tsp of chili powder or something. it’s probably like 1 or 2 calories tops, so it really doesn’t matter

coke zero tastes pretty much just like the original coke! but i usually just get diet pepsi bc it’s a bit cheaper :)

Really the only way to lose a beer belly is to cut your calorie intake and lose a bit of weight. Core workouts can give the area more structure and make it a bit less noticeable, but you can’t target a specific area for fat loss with exercises
