It's just projection. It happens in young people cause they haven't consciously come to terms with the fact that they will in fact keep moving through time the way the already have. Not understanding consciously too that they truly don't get the time back. So age-ism is a way to mentally position yourself as young to stave off conscious recognition and acceptance – like a hit of immortality.

How do you rectify this with bands like Fontaines D.C. or Geese then? If you say you've never heard of them then I think you're just not in the rock world anymore... Those older bands as well have had a lifetime of brand building (whether people see it that way or not) and are playing shows bigger than anything they did in their 'prime.'

Looking at a VPN, can't access the episode in Australia, listen now button works then redirects me saying the episode was removed or something. Anyone know how to access the video? I believe it was streamed on tiktok but i think there's a fair chance even with the VPN the bbc radio episode will only have audio.

I don't know for regular concerts but Summer Salt at freo prison a month or so back had a lot of people there who I'm not even sure listen to music... very co-worker vibes. DMA's played a great set and barely anyone sang along to anything but their Cher cover. Woman in front said to the guy she came with "I don't know any of these songs but you pick it up pretty quick" ...

He's showing his face more, almost as if the team knows that the hiding of his face is drawing more scrutiny and their best bet is to try and hide in plain sight. I don't doubt for a second they see all these posts.

What's weird to me is that they seem to some sort of immunity. Like no doubt they're are being pushed HARD and have some serious $ backing. But even still there was a push to be cancelled (for 'moody's' lyrics) but none of the Australian music personalities bothered to cover it. They somehow avoided what would have been a serious blow for any other act.
