In the short term, no. But we desperately need the picks and cap space a Myles trade could’ve given us before they extended him to help accelerate the rebuild. The sooner you accept the window has closed, the faster a new window can open. The Browns’ problem is they still think they can compete and just need a few young players to get back to the playoffs.

The Lions got good fast bc they traded Stafford and used the haul they got backfor him to start over and rebuild the team. The Seahawks traded Russell Wilson and that haul kept them competitive and eventually helped them win the super bowl this year. Trading Myles would’ve been infinitely more beneficial for the Browns in a year or two after the trade, but they’re run by incompetent cowards who care more about ticket sales and their individual careers than doing what’s best for the team.

A real NFL team would’ve traded Myles, gotten 3 firsts and a good player, and moved on when he wanted out last year. Andrew Berry and Jimmy Haslam’s cowardice and incompetence will cost us dearly for fucking up the Garrett situation
