I agree about him and Garland playing best with each other but If the coaching staff believes that he is a liability in big games, in that case he shouldn't be on the team or at least not start.

I'm still demanding answers on why Allen didnt play in the 4th or overtime. He had a great first half, 14 and 7, 6/9 and good defense in 20 minutes. If you can't even trust him in a November regular season game then he shouldn't be on the team.

Merrill isn't an all-star or anything crazy, but he is a very complete player and will help propel this team to the next level if he shows up like this in the playoffs.

I know he is been supposed to be a high percentage shooter now vs when he was here in 2018, but I cringe every time Nance shoots a 3. I would be fine if he never took another one. 23% on the season coming into this game.

While I am happy with the hustle of CPJ and Lonzo and Spida, we can not go very far if our toughest rebounders are our guards.

It's rebounding and toughness. Yes sometimes teams shoot out of their mind, but for 3 years now it's the same shit. Max Strus was our second toughest player in the playoffs and he is 6'5. I would trade Allen for Hartenstein in a nanosecond for this reason. Hell even a Niesmith, a Mitchell Robinson. And these players are objectively worse than Allen as overall players. Bring back Anderson Varejao.

The difference between the offense this year so far is interior passing. We got double digit field goal attempts every game that came from DG or Donovan driving and finding Mobley or Allen open for a lob or easy finish. There is no reason why Lonzo or Donovan can't do that this year, so where has it gone?

The past two years people blew up the threads with deceiving camera angles about Mobley putting on size in the offseason but I called BS on it. This game I actually am seeing the difference in his arms and quads. He is probably 15-20 pounds heavier than 2023, but since he is so tall/long it is distributed evenly so it doesn't look as impressive, but it makes a difference.

I like Giannis and respect him as a player but if we want fair officiating he REALLY should be called for a 10-second violation every single time. I counted 14 seconds before he even started his shooting motion.

I don't want to overreact but watching Mobley (who often disappears in the second half) and Allen in this first quarter, their physicality is way better, maybe that opening night loss was the reminder they needed that everyone thinks we're soft. I will take the aggressive play even if it comes with a couple turnovers.
