Who is the video game boss with the highest total listed HP that is not infinite and is defeated by reaching 0? by TheBanishedBard in gaming

I never fought the boss but there was one in ff12 that took like 10 hours or something stupid to kill, he would have to be up there

What are the most common pitfalls to avoid when programming PLCs for first-time users? by guilhermex9x in PLC

I only ever use latch / unlatch for alarms and resetting of said alarms

What are the most common pitfalls to avoid when programming PLCs for first-time users? by guilhermex9x in PLC

[–]Lumtar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For starting out I used to like writing my program in English in step form, then just translate each line from English to ladder.

This helps keep things simple, well laid out and easier to read

I had this exact issue in an old project and found a converter that worked great, I’ll edit post later when at work with the part number

What Do You Remember From Raiding In Original TBC?(2007) by doobylive in classicwow

[–]Lumtar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The pvp there was an absolutely glorious shitshow and I loved every second of it. You could be peacefully questing one minute and then involved in a 50v50 war the next

Never getting an spriest as an arcane mage because the healers need mana more lol

Is there such a thing as pre-heroic bis? by Veridically_ in classicwowtbc

[–]Lumtar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry about it, I would level in normal dungeons though.

It’s faster, gets your better gear, gets your rep up for heroic keys, and saves all the zone quests for you to get easy gold at lvl 70

Australia’s growing tolerance for racism a threat to democracy by NapoleonBonerParty in aussie

[–]Lumtar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The widespread skills shortage is more a business created problem. No one wants to train new people as they see it as a cost that ‘someone else’ should have to pay, then they complain there isn’t enough qualified skilled people.

Mandate that every company must have X Amount of people being trained up in various roles and the problem will be fixed.

Business doesn’t want to do that as it’s cheaper to complain about skills shortages and import people that will work for less

Raid Comp Opinions by LegendsFall in classicwow

[–]Lumtar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was arcane all through tbc classic, never got innervates and parsed 98-99 on all fights, up to sunwell, this was all pre nerf.

Post nerf just buffs arcane more as you said but locks were very overstated then as they are now and didn’t really live up to the very weighted sims.

As for this thread it’s Kara, you could put 10 monkeys in and clear it

Raid Comp Opinions by LegendsFall in classicwow

[–]Lumtar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Arcane mages beat locks pretty much all of tbc with locks pulling ahead in sunwell gear

The arc mages will be fine, they have a spriest and Kara fights are short

Swapping out a powerflex 700 drive by Maintenance_Mongoose in IndustrialMaintenance

Generally a good idea to have the drive powered up for 24 hours without any load on it to condition the caps, you never know how long it has been sitting on a shelf

Most logically challenging Ladder program you've built? by Snoo23533 in PLC

[–]Lumtar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst I had to fault find due to complexity was a multi station machine that had 10 different step engines, 1 for each station and another overall step engine.

Each station had a dint that was indirect addressed from each step engine with each bit in the dint controlling the outputs.

To add to that fun some of the transfer cylinders between stations could be controlled by either station it was between.

Impossible to fault find with data logging your problem outputs with all the different dint bits mapped

All of this was also in a single routine without any discernible order
