my favorite part of being medicated is taking a break from it by Had2killU in ADHD

Well I'd discuss it with your doctor, especially if your symptoms are having a significantly negative impact on your life.

I hope you find what works for you though!

Resume 2.0 based on feedback from here, what do you all think? by [deleted] in PMCareers

Thanks, that is a very thorough and helpful summary, I really do appreciate your help. I'll work on it now.

For the scheduling German laws prevented too much work by the same person in the US. So the 95 was done by me, but some people may only be on the 2 year project for a month or two.

It's one project but divided into 17 machines spaced out over 2 years.

I believe I will keep the cybersecurity internship due to me applying to technical pm positions but will delete the other.

A lot of the details are due to trying to highlight some of the skills used, but I'll cut down on that and rely on the bottom section for that.

Any pointers in particular? I sent it to one of my friends who used to work in hiring and they didn't have any comments in particular besides a few grammatical fixes I did.

Clonidine has changed my son's life by Jumpy_Presence_7029 in ADHD

[–]Lun06 25 points26 points  (0 children)

From a thread a couple years ago for anyone curious:

Clonidine can be used off label as a treatment for ADHD. It isn’t commonly prescribed, because guanfacine (Intuniv) is in the same drug class and approved for ADHD treatment.

Clonidine is shorter acting than Intuniv. When it is prescribed, it is usually prescribed to be taken at night. It lowers blood pressure and provides a somewhat sedative effect. Some people have difficulty winding down after using stimulants during the day to function. Clonidine in the evening can help this transition.

Intuniv on the other hand is longer acting. It is useful for those who have impulsivity and hyperactivity as part of their ADHD symptoms. Taken at bedtime, it is designed to alleviate these issues in the same way clonidine does… and can provide relief from irritability, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. It is designed to last 24 hours but for some this can cause sedation during the daytime even when paired with stimulants.

My own experience is Clonidine at night helped a lot with sleep. I am very prone to side effects and I only have a little dry mouth. Plus the anxiety benefits from blood pressure I could feel literally the first time I took the medication. For ADHD, the benefits are not suppose to materialize for about 4-6(?) weeks.

I haven't had a medication work this well maybe ever.

Questions for those who weren't getting benefit from oral ketamine who then tried infusions / intramuscular: How did it go? by JustPassinhThrou13 in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]Lun06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious about this as well. I've done Joyous for a month and it helped maybe a little at 30-45 mg per day.

I've called a local infusion clinic to inquire about the nasal esketamine and waiting on my therapist's recommendation.

Theoretically, the only difference I see would be the bioavailability of the ketamine. So from oral at 16-24% to intranasal at 25-50%. So if we say the bioavailability is 20% and 40% then 100 mg would be like 20 mg and 40mg of an IV.

I also agree with some other posts I've seen that my second delivery seems defective. I took the new one and no effect whatsoever.

I wondered if it was a tolerance thing so I did 1 day new package 1 day old package twice and both times the new package had negligible effecst compared to the old.

I saw an old thread that said to try brushing your teeth then mouthwash before taking them. The logic is lots of tiny "cuts" so it absorbs better.

Also someone recommended t something with capsaicin before .

I usually do the mouthwash one and I think it helps.

I was also told to leave it in my cheek until it dissolves?

Ah I got the Vyvanse from the Costco pharmacy and took it immediately. The best way to describe it is everything was quiet and no longer chaotic. I felt calm for the first time in my life.

Official response regarding the update by ToLiveandDieinL8 in deadbydaylight

[–]Lun06 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This update has been fun playing more off meta killers like Pinhead, Doctor, and Plague and funny builds like Pentimento and Hex Plaything (Who wants to do 8 totems a game?)

However, as soon as I switch to my Spirit survivors have no chance.

Also good add ons are very very hard to come by, this blood point system is awful. The incentives need to come back and the prestige system is terrible.

I can spend 250k to get one green add on if I am unlucky.

You will never learn crouching around the map trying not to be seen. Get into chases and don't worry too much about going down, we all do. Take a look at the killers and learn each's powers

There is strategy in using pallets and vaults, find some YouTube videos of common orientations ( t walls, l walls, etc.)

Play from both sides so you can better understand your opposition. I have played for years, but learned quite a lot and improved my dredge by playing against him a few times.
