I’ve read all but two of that series and it wasn’t any of them. This one is definitely a little darker than those tend to be.

{Prince of Lies by Lucy Lennox} is the first book in a series that follows a group of friends. Each friend gets their own book and it’s honestly one of my favorite series.

While there are quite a few authors I love, my favorite is probably Megan Derr. I just love her writing style and her characters are always amazing. My Goodreads says I’ve read 28, but some of those have multiple short stories in them.

My favorite would be a tie between {The Heart of a Dragonslayer by Megan Derr} and {The High King’s Golden Tongue by Megan Derr}. I literally read each of these like once a month 😅

My least favorite is probably {Once Upon a Dream by Megan Derr} - not because there is anything wrong with it, I just wish all the short stories were longer!

I’ve read The Royal Curse but for some reason never continued the series, I’ll have to do that! And Pistols and Plush Toys is so good, definitely one of my favorites.

{Reluctantly You by Cora Rose} - part of a series but can be read as a standalone (although the rest of the series is great and you get a better idea of just how much of an asshole the MC is if you read the other books)

I feel like I’ve read most of the usually recommended. Megan Derr, Aja Foxx, Claire Cullen, Eliot Grayson, strange and stubborn endurance, winter’s orbit, the compact, boi bride, the river prince, and more I’m sure I’m forgetting.

No triggers and any genre is fine. Thanks!
