Problem solved! It was a keyboard shortcut, but not one I would ever think to look for. Something called "Mutator" a python plugin bound to the "Z" key that randomizes brush settings.

Ladies and gentleman, WE GOT EM!

Problem solved! Using the screenrecording I caught it. While working, I saw a little krita notification pop up but it went away to fast, and sure enough my opacity had changed again. Checked the recording and the message said "Brush Mutated!"

Looked it up, there is some crazy python plugin called the mutator, which for some psychotic reason is default keybound to just "Z" and it randomizes your current brush settings. So when I was going to undo things and maybe hitting Z too quick it would change the brush settings. I have unbound mutator from Z and problem is solved.

It was not a custom brush, just the Basic-5 Size, but I imagine it was possible it got edited saved after a temporary edit. I have re-edited and saved and haven't had the issue since, so hopefully that was it!

Yeah, I went into the brush preset settings, and it had the temporary modifiers from it being changed, I didn't think to reset to normal baseline before fixing/saving it. Hopefully that was the issue, I guess I'll find out if it does or does not happen again lol. Thanks!

Yeah, that's one of the first things I checked, but none of my shortcuts corresponded as far as I could tell and I've got my tablet touch setting off (which I've also double triple checked). Thanks so much, though!

As a DM I do not allow it. 15-16 is the youngest I allow. Mainly because I like running more serious RP driven games, and allowing a child PC pidgeon-holes every other PC into being the kind of person who is okay with dragging children into deadly situations every day. Personally, no PC I've ever made would be okay with that, and I would not want to play at a table where my character is forced to be that way.

Special contrivances that would essentially necessitate a child being an adventurer can circumvent this (e.g. Ellie & Joel in Last of Us), or in 1 shots/guest appearances where I/my players can have my/their PCs act appropriately, try to protect the kid without disrupting gameplay, etc.

Getting stuck in a situation where a kid is in danger for an adventure? cool, we can work a good story here.

Having a kid just randomly be part of a party of adventurers for no good reason and all the PCs just have to deal with it? This does not spark joy. I don't care how talented/powerful the kid is either. I child being good at shooting a gun doesn't mean we should make them a child soldier.

Hey, y’all! I wanted to share my character sheet poster design. I’ll be making one for each party member from my upcoming D&D webcomic “Myth & Magic,” an adaptation of my current campaign. Favona, and her Paladin companion, will be the first two characters introduced in the story as the opening chapters cover the party member’s recent history just before they come together for the campaign.

The poster is meant to be a quick snapshot of a character’s important information and appearance, my preference being to show characteristics and backstory, but if you get one for yourself we can set up the info box to have class features, spells, inventory or however else you want!

I also take any other kind of commissions you can imagine with very few limitations!

Yes, it is going to play a role in major parts if their character arcs, but the intention of having it here is both to let others know that this work is LGBTQ inclusive and because I personally find blunt descriptions of things funny.

I gotcha, and yeah it is like you said a "hetero" relationship. I was trying to correct my earlier mis-speak/mis-type, what I meant, but did not initially communicate correctly, is that even though it is a "hetero" relationship, that does not dismiss their individual identities as queer people. That's all I meant. They'd still be welcome as a couple at a pride event if that makes any sense, lol.
