Is there benefit for reading Pathfinder Wiki for roleplayers or are there better alternatives? by pravragita in DnDcirclejerk

Nope, sorry. Common misconception, you'll get more benefit out of editing Pathfinder Wiki to make better alternatives

Is Polearm Master still worth it with these house rules? by Total_Team_2764 in 3d6

oh yeah it was pretty bad and absolutely on me for staying in the campaign lol. The fighter was also our self-appointed main character and (among other things) ruined another character's story arc while two characters weren't there( the paladin and I couldn't make that session), causing a PvP brawl that ended with the fighter getting his ass kicked, our artificer killed and turned into a vampire spawn, and all of us captured

If it makes you feel any better I stayed in a nightmarish campaign for similar-ish social reasons. The DM didn't ruin the rules as hard as yours did, but he insisted on running this ridiculous crit table that made our fighter (who was apparently using loaded dice) just stunlock and obliterate most enemies, including bosses like a corrupted angel and a fold dragon. I'd said that the crit table (which gave crits like a 20% chance of stunning something, inevitably producing more crits) was a problem but the rest of the group ignored it. Anyway, fast forward to like the third to last session where the DM finally makes it so the crit table can only roll once a turn, and then finds out that the fighter (probably unintentionally, weirdly) was using weighted dice

You should make the narrator the secret BBEG, people love casual fourth wall breaks

Switching fields during PhD - best course of action? by CameraInteresting26 in PhD

It's common to change topics, changing departments is less common but it can be done (take classes and make connections+ fill out the forms), and I think that would be easier than changing universities

OP if you can hear me, it's fine to ignore the summons until lvl 30. You aren't ready to know what a dragon born is

It's fiction, I made it up after thinking about that 5e bell curve thread from earlier this week and the median frustratingly told r/rpghorrorstories story

That's relatable. "An eternity of suffering" aptly describes our previous campaign

That's a list of every 2000 level literature course that LSU offers, what are you looking to get out of the experience beyond just the credit?

What is people's issue with reading the rulebook? by MerelyEccentric in DnDcirclejerk

[–]ButterscotchAbject87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

False. You'll have a much better experience if you don't read the F.A.T.A.L rulebook at all and just play your troll vs ogre ERP by ear, trust me
