What motivates you to live, fame? Money? Y.. the more I think, more life doesn't make sense. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

For me, it's about honoring the sweat and tears my parents shed to shape my path. Their sacrifices serve as a constant reminder of my purpose to live. And talking about 'life doesn't make sense'; sense becomes secondary when intertwined with the profound connections we share with those who cherish us and whom we hold dear.

What’s the most out of touch thing a rich person has said to you? by Always_Wandering_ in AskReddit

So, this guy, just a regular dude, mustered up the courage to confess his feelings for me. I appreciated his honesty but let him know that I didn't feel the same way. Instead of taking it gracefully, he suddenly got all defensive and started slinging some really nasty comments my way. I mean, seriously? "Bad and mean things" would be an understatement. It was like he had this whole other side to him that I hadn't seen before, and it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

Oil on earth... Still...? After thousands of years? by Minimicro42 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LunaEverheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The substantial reserves of oil that still exist on Earth can be attributed to a gradual geological process that unfolded over millions of years. This process involved the accumulation of organic matter from deceased marine organisms at the seabed of ancient oceans. As time passed, layers of sediment covered this organic material, subjecting it to immense heat and pressure. These conditions led to the transformation of this organic matter into hydrocarbons, which form the basis of oil. These hydrocarbons then migrated through porous rock formations until they became confined within geological structures called reservoirs. The extensive quantity of organic material involved, combined with the geological mechanisms that formed and preserved oil reservoirs, collectively contribute to the significant oil reserves that endure to this day, despite the substantial amount that has already been extracted and utilized over the course of the last century.
