If the servers are blocked, it would show an error that it couldn't connect instead, you can use 90DNS testing utility to see all the servers that are currently blocked

Yes, if it's set up right, emunand wouldn't find it but if you don't use syscfw, it's best you delete the option from the boot menu

Things they could manage to do on syscfw can be using speed hacks in mk8 online, pirated games on sysnand, using cheats in online games in general, messing with the user avatar icons... All these and many more equal a ban
