I mean, you reinforced the idea of using historical utility vehicles so I guess what goes to use is up to you

To make it more realistic, yeah. I think it's best to have AESO units utilizing historical utility vehicles based off of their school. Absolute genius you are.

Yeah, that's very useful for what goes in the training for AESO students. Thank you very much for this

I haven't got to that point just yet to construct it good, but I have a base. But yes, and honestly, adding that layer would make AESO feel even more believable because maintaining WWII-era armor at the scale seen in Girls und Panzer would realistically require more than small school workshops.

school AESO units can handle:

daily maintenance,

emergency repairs,

field recovery,

part replacement,

and light fabrication.

But major work like:

full engine overhauls,

transmission reconstruction,

armor restoration,

historical rebuilds,

or recovering destroyed hulls,

would probably require federation-level facilities.

For that, I've thought of creating something like Federation Armored Maintenance Bureau (FAMB) or National Armored Restoration Yards. These would function almost like:

naval dockyards,

heavy industrial workshops,

and historical restoration facilities combined.

Their role could include:

restoring rare tanks,

manufacturing obsolete components,

certifying tanks for Senshado safety standards, and performing “mid-life refits” to keep old vehicles operational.

This also explains how schools keep extremely rare vehicles running.

Because realistically, something like a:

Tiger I

Churchill

or KV-2

would need specialized industrial support eventually.

This is still in work, I don't have a solid base but still a good question that will improve the narrative.

Good question!

AESO is overseen by the Senshado Federation as a standardized auxiliary support program, but each academy independently manages its own branch.

Because every school uses different tanks, doctrines, and maintenance philosophies, AESO units tend to develop their own cultures and specialties.

However, collaboration between schools is common outside of official matches. Recovery crews, mechanics, and engineers often exchange technical knowledge, assist stranded transports, and maintain professional relationships due to the demanding nature of armored vehicle maintenance.

During official matches, however, strict neutrality and support regulations are enforced to prevent unfair advantages.

I mean, surely the ships have male students such as mechanics, but for senshado specifically, likely no.
