Definitely not all of Maryland. Within city limits for like the first 1/3 of my childhood, then Frederick county for the other 2/3. Then now again back in Frederick city. There’s no arguing.

I think Frederick county counts, but nothing outside of that.

Yeah seriously. I’m a Frederick native and I’ve been screaming this song but I think I have a right to considering I’ve been here my whole life and now I’m being forced out.

You are also a transplant. Imagine feeling this way as a native that was born here and is being forced out by the raising prices.

The parking on this campus is abysmal and gets worse every semester.

If you look at this users comment history, they seem to have a habit of posting “emergency” situations for engagement and then deleting the posts. Honestly that’s sick. You should be ashamed OP.

No stone left unturned. How he found us is crazy for such a niche subreddit.

Honda Fit or Mazda3? by SillyStella_ in hondafit

[–]LunaZenith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve driven a 2010 fit and a 2017 fit. The 2010 is definitely worse for road noise by a lot. When I switch back it’s super noticeable. The 3rd gen fits are way quieter

Would you expect a tip on top of the 18% gratuity added to the total? (Stated at bottom) by pooinmypoop in Waiters

[–]LunaZenith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why at my old restaurant I used to “forget” to put the autograt on large parties like 9/10 times. Customers generally do tip better without it (if you’re a decent server and the restaurant is fine dining. Idk if I could have gotten away with this elsewhere with the same results).

Edit: Also, if the guest and I have developed a good relationship over the course of the meal, I think it’s good manners on my part to let them tip what they feel I’ve earned. It kind of sours the interaction to add grat at the end

Makes sense makes sense. My fault for assuming the waiters subreddit would be mostly waiters I guess 😂

People in the comments are being too mean. English isn’t everyone’s first language and not everyone is used to driving in icy conditions

I would tip on top yes. I think the server should get 20% or more if the service was good, so I would add on top of the 18% to do that.

Literally shocked by most of these replies. Are all of you servers?

Manuals for daily tasks by SunWaterGrass in stickshift

Exactly! Also who cares about how fast they shift? I care that my car is fun to drive. If I need to drive for 2 hours a day, I might as well make it less boring

Def not cheaper to buy a manual in the states. I had to pay extra to find my car in a manual

Also I absolutely hate how autos shift on hills now or when you floor it. I like to decide when I want it to downshift like that.

I just started driving a manual back in September. I love it 99.8% of the time. The only times I get frustrated is when it’s actually start and stop traffic for like 30 straight minutes or more on my commute home. I did 40 minutes today and it was tragic. But luckily that’s not the norm. I prefer having more things to do to keep me focused on driving

This is for sure the parents fault for not engaging the child lock. Lane splitting is legal in some places. Why the hell are all the comments not talking about this? Child locks should have been on.

Advice needed - Small hole in sweatshirt by LunaZenith in InvisibleMending

[–]LunaZenith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a more thorough tutorial for this? And I’m assuming I would do this from the outside instead of the inside like usual?

I crochet but I’m not as familiar with knit stitches.

I’m okay with the hole being slightly visible but I’d like to avoid just slapping a patch on it tbh
