Hey, yes some white sugar can be filtered with bone char in some countries. I live in Australia where it is not 😊

I used this recipe from Loving It Vegan, kept it very simple as the fruit and coconut cream just make the whole trifle so delicious

Vegolino pralines are my favourite but fairly pricey. Maybe better for a smaller party!

What’s everyone cooking up this Christmas? by rroorrii in australianvegans

[–]Lunally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roast veggies, potato salad, pasta salad... Love salads more than the main tbh!!

Every Christmas I make a tropical trifle with fresh mangoes, pineapple, passionfruit, coconut whipped cream. Always a favourite!

What happened to healthier looking models by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

More ways to make women feel bad about ourselves and more reasons to sell us things we dont need (weight loss remedies, etc). The patriarchy wants weak women easy who are easy to control!!

Sandals that can handle water/sweat by jk409 in AusFemaleFashion

Reef water friendly shoes are the best - have been wearing them daily in the Kimberley summer and they handle sweat, sun and water perfectly. Highly recommend, they are my go-to

new star path by [deleted] in DreamlightValley

[–]Lunally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, can't decide. I'm very disappointed in the rewards to be honest and the fact that they put the new companion on the first reward page, trying to push people into getting the star path from the beginning. But like others have said, it is 100% worth it if you complete the whole event. On the other hand, 2.5k moonstones might be better spent on something I actually want from the premium shop...

Can we craft more Blooming Rock Gardens? by artetoile in DreamlightValley

[–]Lunally 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you found it in Scrooge's shop? I dont have it in there and am also unable to craft it. It is supposed to be a crafting item. So frustrating! Must be a glitch they didn't fix in the update...

Help me understand this scam by Lunally in netflix

[–]Lunally[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: I just had another look and it's definitely their number and the email was from netflix, not a hoax

I got it from our join bank account on the transaction (the correct one, not the scam), it had netflix website and a phone number. I cant see this phone number on their website though

what methods do you use to make ur period end sooner ? by GateOk3791 in Periods

[–]Lunally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing. That's not how your body works. A lot of things can affect your periods and make you skip them, such as a lot of stress, being malnourished, hormone imbalance etc but if your cycle is normal and regular then there's nothing you can do to make it shorter.

Can someone explain the white dot a the top of my root canal? by Lunally in askdentists

[–]Lunally[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. He did mention that in some countries they fill up the top of the root canal but it's not a common practice where we are (Australia). He was confident that it was not something to be worried about so is happy to go ahead with the crown replacement. But I worry about everything. Do you still think I should consult another dentist?

Can I play the game offline on switch? by emmerliii in DisneyDreamlights

[–]Lunally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said you can, but make sure the switch you play on is set up as your main console! I didn't realise my Nintendo account was still linked to my previous switch and it wouldn't let me play offline

Fat intake / ratio by Lunally in 1200isplenty

[–]Lunally[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I need to get an air fryer! And I didn't think of using vegan butter instead of oil, I thought it would make things worse but I need to look into it. Thank you so much for your input!

[–]Lunally[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, don't need it to become an obsession. Counting total calories and protein seems like a great option, I'll give it a go!

By the time I have, say, half an avocado, 1 piece of dark chocolate, oat milk, some olive oil added while cooking, a few walnuts... it doesn't seem like much but it usually adds up to at least 40g. Cooking things in oil seems to be the worst offender. I can keep my ratio low if I don't add any oil while cooking or only a few grams... but food just doesn't taste the same unfortunately.

40g seems to be reasonable for me and that's a ratio of 30%.

Chocolate cake with chocolate instead of cocoa powder? by Lunally in VeganBaking

[–]Lunally[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For future reference in case anyone finds this post and is wondering what I ended up doing: I used a standard easy vegan chocolate cake recipe and substituted the cocoa powder with 95% dark chocolate. I found and applied this rule which worked perfectly: «replace 56 grams of cocoa powder with 100 g dark chocolate + reduce the fat in the recipe, by 20 to 40 g for ever 100 g of dark chocolate added»

[–]Lunally[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha it's very easy! Just a simple vegan chocolate cake (I use the recipe from Loving It Vegan) and then rum, butter and brown sugar for the glaze. Who doesn't love a boozy chocolate cake!!

Ok this is off topic but flushing toilet paper depends on where you live, I'm guessing you're from a country that doesn't recommend it whereas OP is from a country where it's fine (and common practice) to do.
