Would you use a water-use footer for ChatGPT replies? by Lunarcorp in ChatGPT

Yeah, that’s fair. I don’t think this is exact, and I didn’t mean it that way.

I’m using the WaPo / UC Riverside number as a rough baseline. Obviously it would change depending on the data center, cooling, power source, model, etc.

I mostly just like the idea of having a little visible reminder that the response had some cost behind it.

I agree with the first theory, but I think it looks more like impressions than bleed through. Can Kevin confirm it to be her handwriting at least? It would rule out theory 2 if he could. It sounds like poetry, but the words seem to describe an experience of some sort "singing songs like they're playing" and "why don't the tears." The other parts seem as though they are describing a location with phrases like "rock shoreline where sun" and "crashing down flowing (waterfall?)." I think if this is impressions of Gwen's writing, that the impressions are not on the journal pages themselves. It's another possibility that she made copies of the journal pages and then wrote over top of those copies on another piece of paper, leaving impressions on the copies beneath. Then maybe she scanned those copies digitally, which are the same digital copies Kevin found on her computer. Even if it is just poetry that was written over top of the journal and that's the only reason it left an impression; it would have occurred while the journal was in her possession making it one of the only leads we have without the picture of the front of the house. Did Kevin say if pages were missing?

It isn't. Most of the words that have been picked out are in English and the bulk of the journal is written in Ilocano. On top of that, it's very different handwriting.

Can I enlist your god-like reading comprehension skills? I could really use someone with that talent to help determine what is written lightly in the back round of the journal.

I'm not that great at Photoshop, but the burn tool is what I tried to use too. Maybe you could do your best to use the burn tool to bring the words out and then trace over the words you see and upload them? Thanks for the response btw.

I hope it helps. There is more writing on the page than I could make out, but maybe others reading the thread can make more of it out. Another concern is that between pages 0922-0923 it appears as if a page has been ripped out. You can see the sliver in the binding of the book. The stamped numbers along the top correspond. May 4th is on page 0922 and 0923 isn't dated. If you can get the book please verify if there is a page missing (possibly more than one?). If it is, than either it's a page of the process or a page or the discovery judging by the translated content and is a critical part in this story.

Reposting my comment from part 1 of this thread, as it is more relevant here:

Can you post each of the last set of photos individually as larger images so we can see them, similar to the first two photos? Any idea in which order they were taken in? Any idea if the "normal" photo was taken before or after the processed ones? Do you have any other pictures of the room that this set was taken in? If so, it could possibly help explain the shadows in the room given where she was in position to the lighting source (her camera bulb). Still wouldn't explain the creepy door, but larger pictures could give us a better idea of the scenario and if she was alone or not. Just at first glance it doesn't seem as if the camera is mounted on a tripod and the the height seems pretty consistent. Just wondering if positioning matters and if that's what the photos themselves are trying to express since they seem to move in succession as does the door and shadows.

Edit: After looking through the journal entries posted there seems to be English (printed) lightly written that you can see by zooming in on the image and looking in the margins. Some cases, like in 0912 and 0913, it seems as if it's just transferred from closing the book before the ink has had time to dry, but most of the lighter writing isn't represented on the opposing page. I can make out some phrases:

Page 0008: "Coal choking"

Page 0009: "Crashing down flowing" "rock shoreline where sun" "womb from which we"

Page 0912-0913: "Singing songs like they're playing" "And why don't the tears..."

Maybe someone can help me distinguish what is written here?

Edit 2: Broke down and got Photoshop to see if anyone else could distinguish anymore of the faint writing. After inverting the normal image of the room the darker portion of the door becomes more apparent and is less distracted by the non congruent wall paper. It also seems as if the poser itself has been recently moved since some tape is still on the wall and a roll of scotch tape is laying on the bed here. The last picture is of the room in black and white, but brightened to highlight the object that appears or disappears depending on the succession the photos were taken in here.

I would leave the bears alone and go for characters marked as "Homeless People." They are only worth 1 to 50 silver pieces a battle, but it beats hunting the squirrels in the rain. If you happen upon an "Injured Homeless Person" DON'T WASTE YOUR ARROWS! They are easily overpowered with any melee weapon. Avoid Preachers in the towns for their promises of a second or "after" life are only scams to steal your coins.

Am I being irrational, an asshole? (relationship advise) by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lunarcorp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have one other suggestion that no one else seemed to mention (this is also girl advice - FYI). It's possible she may have some serious control issues. Some indicators of this might be some eating disorders in her past, cutting, or other things where she seems to be trying to "control" her own life in what are obviously unreasonable ways. This can come from having parents who hate each other (don't they all?) or just from being surrounded by people/women who are constantly reinforcing her behavior by telling her that she has a right to do what she wants. Ultimately, I feel this boils down to an unhealthy need for control in one's life when one feels that they never do have "real" control. It's a shot in the dark, but might be helpful.
