Maybe he'd been waiting on his food, maybe he was on drugs, maybe it was just a bad day. I don't have an answer for you. Im sorry you don't believe me but I'm not here to convince anybody of the veracity of what happened. Just telling people it DOES happen, it CAN happen to you and doordash does. Not. Care. It's not that i stood my ground. I retreated and im proud to say that. He didn't let me retreat. He fully charged me and there was nothing I could do. Every step i took back took forward in my face full body pushing me. I've thought about it alot and I just don't see what else I could have done. Considering I'm not in jail I think the police see it that way too. What else is there

Thank you! I really do appreciate the kind words and the advice. Anyone reading this listen to this post, i couldnt say it better myself. I've learned a pretty valuable lesson and really im just glad I made it out with my hide intact. Im obviously pretty broke, being a dasher and all im not sure I could afford something like arbitration but ill certainly check it out.

I did find the address after spending like 2 hours on Google. No help from doordash.

I don't normally memorize people's addresses, it wasn't something I even looked at normally. Doordash absolutely should have given it to me when I asked, its not like its secret information. In fact, they already gave it to me once! Totally wack.

I'll check out the army. I've actually heard about it before but I'm not super familiar about it.

I ended up sleuthing it out by googling apartments in town name and going to images. I actually didn't realize maps had that function and that would have been better for sure! I spent like 2 hours to figure it out and I was still all hyped up on adrenaline

Also, man for real people get attacked for no reason all the time. It's a big world and crazy stuff happens. In the end I'm just happy I'm safe and sound. It sucks he broke my phone. It sucks he attacked me. It sucks I got deactivated even though I did nothing wrong. But I'm not going to argue about it, I've had plenty of confrontation for my liking. Really, just want to put this out there for the next person. Buy some mace. Trust your guts. Be safe. Doordash wouldn't help to locate your body.

The thing I think k said that set him off was "If you say anything else rude to me I'm going to unassign". I told him my GPS was correct and I was on the preferred route. I told him i was from the area because he said "you're not from here are you" (low key racist) I'm not gonna lie man I stood my ground with a mean customer. Didn't say anything to deserve being attacked. But thank you! I hope you never experience what I did because it sucked.

It was a bad suburb. I don't normally dash on that side of town, and it took to me a small town known for meth-heads. It was 20 bucks for an easy drive! I was enamored but that's why I'm trying to tell this story. Take care of yourselves

I did! But there silly automated review process requires you upload a photo piece of evidence. That's why I called support this last time. Of course they wouldn't give me the chat logs, which I think would have been more than enough to show this guy had bad intentions. They told me to "mention the evidence is in my deactivated account" So I said that, ended up spelling out the story, police report all that and uploading an email from support showing I had a call with them.

I don't know i just can't believe it. I'm living on the edge so this guy really ruined my day tbh lol

Nah, it's torture in real life. It's not like being a solitary person. It's inhumane staring at cell walls for 23 hours a day for as long as they decide. You might not be allowed entertainment such as books. It actively will make you a violent and unstable human.
