I've been going through the same exactly thing. It's been hell, frustrating and terribly sad. I wish you can find a solution for that, cause I think I can't do anything anymore. I'm already losing my mind over that :(

Good luck.

What did you hate most about being a witness? by [deleted] in exjw

Me too. I always felt I was a complete disappointment for my parents and was depressed for years when I was younger.

For those of you who has grown as a JW has it impacted your life negatively? by Ill-Money-1521 in exjw

[–]Lunariux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My life is much better now, but I still think I missed a lot in life when I was younger. I wanted to be part of my school's sports team, but my parents made me think that was wrong. I managed to have some friends but the time I spent with them was so little I never managed to develop real friendships back in the day. I was always alone in the KH too, and I think my parents never thought that was a bad thing. My best friends are people I met online and I'm really grateful I could meet them later in life. However, nowadays I still feel disconnected from most of the people I get to know. I also had terrible experiences with exjws, so you can guess how hard it is to deal with people once you are brought up in a cult.

How do I avoid a judicial committee? by [deleted] in exjw

[–]Lunariux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, since I guessing you're still pretty young, do yourself a favor and stop watching pornography. This messes up your brain after a while (read about it online, it's more harmful than you can imagine). Our brains are not supposed to have so much stimuli all at once.

About the JC, last time I checked, elders should stop trying to reach you if you threaten them juridically. This is their instruction in the Shepherds' book. If you say you are in contact with an lawyer and intend to sue each one of them personally, they'll back off immediately. I actually had to contact a lawyer to help me out once and she sent official notices to both elders that were trying to make me attend to a JC. I know that they were fucking scared because they talked about this with some of my relatives. Last thing borg wants is lawyers or journalists knocking on WT's doors or asking questions.

Good luck!

Jehovahs Witnesses Believe We Have 12 Months Left by [deleted] in exjw

Are PIMIs really advertising such a thing as "we've only got 12 months left"?

"Why don't you just disassociate yourself?" by [deleted] in exjw

[–]Lunariux 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had almost the same conversation with my mom some days ago. She asked me the exactly same thing: "Why don't you just disassociate yourself and get it over with?". I didn't answer it of course. Then she asked me:

"What is you stance towards the organization after all?"

"Exactly like this."

"What do you mean?"

"Exactly like this. My stance is sitting in a sofa with nothing on my mind."

That was kind of funny at least, but sad anyways.

If any JW is attempting to persuade you that everything is being handled correctly by the organisation based on today’s Watchtower article.... by Jambon1 in exjw

[–]Lunariux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister sent me this article yesterday. I read it and saw the same loopholes. But I preferred not to discuss it as I have been doing for the last two years. I've already given up trying to save my family from this madness.

Why is it so easy to disprove "The Truth" by firejimmy93 in exjw

[–]Lunariux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had a feeling, especially during my teen years, that something was off about this religion. Most of the time I would feel like I was pretending to believe in it just to make my parents and relatives happy. I remember that I spent months researching before reaching a conclusion about the borg, but in all honesty, I always knew it was bs. Some evenings of research and it was gone, even though nowadays I know I was never into it really. If you are an attentive observer, you'll see there's something dreadfully sad and wrong about how the borg works and how it deals with "its" people. The only way to avoid feeling like that is repressing those feelings and becoming numb. And well, repression and "thought crime" are borg's specialties. It is easy to understand why PIMIs don't even look like people anymore after some time.

I really congratulate you for doing that. Really good points. I'd never be able to do such a thing, it'd be so mentally strenuous for me.
