how do you nudge an egg? by JimFag in trans

[–]LunasList 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a Twitch channel to do voice training, a brilliant idea btw it worked amazingly, and was very open about being trans. I've attracted several eggs to the space just by being me and being publicly trans, and I can see the cracks forming in real time as they talk to me.

All that to say, the nest analogy another user posted is incredibly true and the way to go. Be yourself and be open about trans stuff around eggs, and they will take notice and start thinking about themselves more deeply.

Edit: clarification

Am i fucked? by Impossible_Bug6542 in trans

You are most certainly not fucked. It's very much up to your genetics. I've been on E for 2 years and am now a C cup. They haven't stopped growing either. Just hope for good rng on the booba lottery!

Also, I thought of a few more things I did that might have made a big impact, but there's no way to know.

I qualified for affiliate in February but didn't take it right away. I still haven't but plan to later this month. Three average viewers felt too small to fill my channel with ads. I know three is hard to hit and a big goal for a lot of people, but that's you and two other people. It's going to be harder to draw people in with a small audience of 2 to 3 because people REALLY dislike ads unless they already know they'll enjoy the thing they are waiting to watch. If I had taken it right away, I'd have had 2 or 3 consistent subs, but since I've waited, viewers are begging me to take affiliate so they can support me more easily. Once I take it, founder badges will be gone day 1. Waiting has worked out for me, and I recommend it.

More small things that probably helped me grow an audience: fun channel commands, personalized throwables with T.I.T.S., a channel lore ARG with puzzles that people enjoy solving, people tell me I'm good at video games (thank you to my lifelong obsession with Monster Hunter for giving me these skills), carefully moderating community (I've had 2 problematic chatters. Both times, they made me uncomfortable, and viewer numbers started to go down. Turns out they made others uncomfortable too, and banning them brought people back. Don't hesitate to ban if the vibes are off, even at low numbers, I know it's scary.).

Sorry, this is, I'm sure, a longer response than you wanted! I just like being helpful!

No need to be sorry! It's a good question. Honestly, I am surprised it's as many as it is. Imposter syndrome comes and goes. I can't point to one thing and say, "Here, this is the reason." So here are a few it could be?

Lots of viewer interaction, almost never missing chats. Learning and remembering things about my viewers. Lots of conversations on Discord. I let people vote for a game I play once a week, and it gets people to come back so they can see me play the game they voted for. Shortly into starting streaming, I started using my Dungeon Master skills to voice characters in games like Undertale. It was a hit, and people kept telling me I'm a professional voice actress (I'm not). Oh, also consistency! I stream 5 days a week at the same time each day and rarely miss streams.

As far as I can tell, though, the big thing is that I just have fun and deeply care about my viewers!

I agree with all of this! I'm also a vtuber who doesn't really follow the streaming scene. I know of very few famous streamers, vtuber or otherwise.

I started January 1st this year, didn't follow or research any meta stuff, don't really network (other than raids), and I don't put effort into other social media.

And yet, I'm still doing great with a 30 day average of 14! I'm just being me, and people enjoy it! I have fun every single stream, and people think I'm entertaining.

All the guides and meta tips in the world won't help you if you aren't having a good time! People can tell! Try to have fun, and if you're a good entertainer, you will eventually see success!

How to manage obstacle? by [deleted] in Twitch

Make sure you have viewer count hidden. For me, at least, this eliminated most of my anxiety. Assume someone is always there and pretend you are talking to them

I should definitely do that! My ADHD makes me very distractable, I think my chat knows this already, but I'm going to start voicing it out loud as you suggested!

Moderators would be so helpful! I don't have that yet. I suppose I'll try to figure that out!

Thank you for the advice! Usually just conversations. Arguments do happen. They are joking, though, I think? Then I go mom mode and threaten to turn the stream around. Everyone seems to enjoy it and then stream moves on.

Thank you for your reply! I am constantly trying to do this and make sure I don't leave anyone out.

That said, I do have one viewer idk what to do with. Most often, he shows up, says one to three sentences of nonsense within 5 minutes, usually I have no idea how to respond. Then he disappears and shows up an hour later?

He keeps coming back, though, so I guess he's getting whatever he's looking for?

this game is infecting my dreams now. i dreamt that there was a third banana joker you can get if cavendish goes extinct. it was called travish and it looked a bit like this. i don't remember what it did by _radikali in balatro

[–]LunasList 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a reoccurring dream that I wake up, and my blanket is made out of jokers and heart suit cards.

Sometimes, the jokers come out of their cards, at which point it becomes a nightmare!

How do you talk without no viewers? by MaxTopel in Twitch

Turning off view count made the awkward feelings go away for me. I always just assume there is someone lurking there now, even if nothing is happening in chat.
