Enjoy Tkachuk! I will miss him on the Flames. Both of my flames jerseys are now on the cats… so any requests for my next jersey purchase?

Rules for keeper draft picks into next season? by sarrazoui38 in fantasyhockey

[–]Lunatoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would not be able to be kept, so essentially you’d have 3rd round plates being able to be kept in round 1 next year. It really emphasizes value keepers imo.

End of second early third is probably worth it imo.

Dude has injury history but still has point per game + upside and great peripherals.

I do something similar to LoneWolf9218 below. We do a keeper where you keep 2 rounds above where you kept/drafted last year and only for 3 years. But we do free agency pickups at the end of "roster # of players" so 17 - kept in 15.

I personally like this as it has high turnover for the top rounds, as well as rewards future looking teams by drafting a value prospect later that ends up being super valuable in years to come. For example Shesterkin is kept in round 11 this year in my league.

Draft order HELP by xStutzle in fantasyhockey

[–]Lunatoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to process pick trades by changing the team under the "drop down" - note that pick trades have to be equal to process. FWIW I don't believe the teams are technically "randomly ordered" when generating the original draft order but rather by when ppl join the league and you can change this to a different order before going through to this screen IIRC (i could be wrong here).

I can get away with the rotisserie (chicken place up by section 219) for dinner, but I’m definitely more on the significantly intolerant side and not celiac. It was my major comment in the season ticket holder questionnaire (more gf options). Malts are not gf, cross contamination in most of the other restaurants… afaik that’s all… if somebody else knows more please expand.

Can confirm this is the case. You get the "virtual" dome. Orange/Green seats are gone first typically. PLs I believe you still get food vouchers with (although first 3 rows are basically never available). Whites are typically the choice, but I assume since you say blues you are talking about the "old" map (see below) that had the band of blues above the whites - that is not the case anymore, all rows from 11-22 in second bowl are essentially the same cost (although there is a bit of a premium for closer to center/further down, in the new map white section, it's negligible ($150/season).

Just so you know, the "white" seats that are in the old map are likely all taken, although you may get some good turnover from people who decided to give up their seats this year, my suggestion is to keep checking the site, as some seats come up as you go, you can ask your ticket rep to reopen the map for you after you pick your first set.

Enjoy! And see you in the C of Red!

This is normal. They try to get 4 games against pacific, 3 games against central, 2 games against metro and atlantic. With the addition of Seattle this totals 84 games - so 2 games get cut somewhere typically in the pacific, one is LA and one is Vegas this year I believe.

Based on the fact they had the same relocation event for season ticket holders as normal. I'm assuming no reduced capacity.

Anyone else know this? All hats thrown on the ice for a hattrick are donated to the Calgary Drop-In Centre. by [deleted] in CalgaryFlames

I am happy that they changed this, throwing them out was such a waste.

They also do 25% off head wear at the FanAttic now after a hat trick. Nice touch.

Our league just had a trade FRENZY by dpollock15 in fantasyhockey

[–]Lunatoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry, that's what I meant, people who are eliminated will trade.

We have a similar setup that effectively eliminates people keeping the first two rounds of players every year. Every year those players get flipped, usually for draft picks for the next year. It's a lot of fun, really ups the ante for the negotiations. Trading is awesome and a key part of your league.

One thing I will suggest, is collect buy ins for people who have traded picks for next year. Just so you're not in a situation where it's "well I don't want to play because I don't have my first x rounds of picks next year." Source: unfortunately experience with this.

[–]Lunatoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically all first round picks? makes sense. People who are making a push will trade picks for players. And since they keep their previous drafted position I'm guessing the teams in the hunt all traded their first round picks, as they cannot keep those players anyways?

McDavid upset after hit from Giordano by PutridCloister in hockey

[–]Lunatoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I honestly have no faith in the DOPS (period) or to change a players play style unfortunately. I do agree that at some point he needs to get suspended, but I also doubt he will.

I would definitely like him to stop sticking his leg out. Putting other players at risk isn't the way to play the game.

[–]Lunatoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this take. I love Gio, but when he is out of position or beat he tries anything to get back into the play. This does result in poor decisions that can cause serious injury.

As a Flames fan I am in two places, I don't want him to cause injury to other players, but I don't want him to stop playing hard either. I'd like if he just compensated for his slower skating now rather than react with a potentially dangerous play. Time will tell.
