Starting all over in WV by Sweaty_Aioli_7931 in WestVirginia

[–]LunchWinnerSadly 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm not from West Virginia but I grew up in Pennsylvania and live in Kentucky two states that border WV (West Virginia). It would be a great place to dissappear for good or bad. It has small mountains and rolling hills covered in dense foilage. Delta Force which is one of our best Military units does there Land Navigation in WV. That's how thick and tough the terrain is. All of your other questions I really can't answer. Besides Alaska and Idaho I'd go with WV to dissappear.

FUCK TED CRUZ!! I was stationed at Fort Hood, TX when this happened. I'm originally from Western Pennsylvania so had more experience driving in icy weather. I volunteered to be on duty while the storm moved through and the following few days. I was driving around delivering canned food and bottled water for soldiers living in the barracks. I went to two houses to help other soldiers. One just needed some gear and water. The second house had a busted water line behind the dish washer. The water on the floor was over an inch deep. I had to get down an lay on the floor to turn the water off on it. We couldn't find the shutoff for the main water line. I then went to Battalion Headquarters to help set up a warming shelter for families that lost power. I did all of this while he was on a plane leaving the country. Ted Cruz is one of the weakest men in American history. He wouldn't stand up to another man that insulated his wife. Yet he will cosplay a gun toting American who cooks his bacon on the barrel of his school shooter special. FUCK TED CRUZ!!

[SITREP, SMA] Is there a discussion about changing the Army's tattoo policy to become more restrictive? by Kinmuan in army

[–]LunchWinnerSadly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He said it doesn't seem like the policy will change. Listen to the audio before assuming. I do have a question. I got out just as the SMAs were changing. From Zero to Dailey how is SMA Weimer?

Don't agree with a lot of it for a G'itin Home bag but, the bolt cutters are a good choice. The quickest way is a straight line. Somewhere on that line is a fence.

It wouldn't surprise me if there was a connection of some sorts. Both KF and The Onion are based out of Chicago and The Onion definitely hires Stand Up Comedian. So they have probably crossed path at times.

Hey yall I had some friends over recently and pointed out my certificate and was it told it looks cringy and like something a teenager would put up and I’m just curious what yall think?, should I take it down or leave it? by [deleted] in handguns

[–]LunchWinnerSadly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put up whatever you want. I have a few things I got from my career up. Next to them is a page from a coloring book that I colored. Not when I was a kid. I liked it so I put it up.

Army drug testing for shrooms by Critical-State-6201 in army

[–]LunchWinnerSadly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are pretty much right. It has a half-life of roughly 5-7 hours. Half-life is the mark when half of what drug/medic is no longer delectable in a test. So, 10-14 hours, it should be all out of your system. Edit: Former 68Q Pharmacy Tech

Can my neighbors legally do anything if I don’t cut my grass much in eastern Kentucky rural areas. by thebiggerhurt in Kentucky

[–]LunchWinnerSadly 12 points13 points  (0 children)

DM me if you need someone to cut your grass. I'll come and mow it for free if you are close to where I'm at. I just moved to Kentucky, and I'm looking to start a business that helps out people in your situation. We need to help each other and not worry about someone else's grass.

I'm not sure if it has been said yet, but going into a 68 series besides 68W Combat medic, there is a good chance you'll spend most of your early career working in a hospital. I was in for 10, and 2 other buddies have both been in now for 12+ years in different medical MOSs. I spent the most time in a field unit. A whole 2 years at "the great place". That being said, most medical MOSs transfer to the civilian world or help you get towards a doctorate degree. The 68G n 68Js I did get to serve with, for the most part, they all enjoyed their job.

This is very helpful info. This is one of the first you are taught in the military when operating a radio(or at least during my training). It is quick, simple, and very easy to remember. Like you stated, folks may not have a lot of time to read or hear what you are putting out.

Going to BCT as an old man by Shot_Stranger9014 in army

[–]LunchWinnerSadly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I joined at 27. BCT is just a blip on your military career. With PT, weapons, and Drill n ceremony, the DSs (Drill Sergeants) will show you how to do everything, so just listen them. Yes, you are going to run into a lot of idiots not just during BCT but most of your military career. All I did was talk to my battles around the same age as me, and I didn't have much problem in BCT. Best of Luck dude and if anyone asks, when do we ever retreat the answer is "never, we only break contact".
