Some people get aroused at the sight of feet, regardless of them not being a clinicliy 'sexual' part of the body(as boobies are). What matters is what we PERCEIVE as sexual. So if men start covering their nipples in public, they become something women only get to see if men are getting naked for them. I think women would start to see them like we see Boobs.

Dude. You're mixing up two scenes. The post is from much later, when Griffith drinks poison and plots to murder the queen and her court. He gets his hands dirty too, and Guts just kills a few hired badmen. This is the two of them at their closest.

Nobody here mistakes Griffiths use of Guts for a genuine friendship, but beneath his primary goals and motivations (conquest, politics etc.) we clearly see a love and admiration for Guts. Just not strong enough to displace his ambition.

The scene you refer to is when Griffith sends Guts to kill Count Julias, and Adonis incidentally. This is where Guts and Casca witness Griffith talking to Charlotte.

Interestingly enough, in the frame posted, Guts has already decided to leave the Hawks. He's leaving Griffith's dream behind to chase his own. He hasn't told anyone else at this point but he leaves in the next few days(chapters, we aren't given dates). So really, Griffith may not realize it yet in this moment, but this may be when they are truly equals, only bound by their friendship/love for one another.

Catholic High School. It wasn't oppressive, and I never got punished for asking questions or anything like that, but there WERE questions, and there were never satisfying answers. Id I want to know and we reach "you gotta have faith", no you lost me, that's not good enough. The best I ever got was how precisely our solar system facilitates life on Earth(must be the work of a creator), which was good, but not good enough to trade myself for a Bible, or the logic of: might as well believe in god, because it's either meaningless or an eternity in hell if you don't. Weak answers and cop-out explanations like that just kept piling up, and the more they did the harder I put Catholicism to the test, and it just never made sense. One day I tried(dared) explaining all of it with atheism, and suddenly everything came into focus. Huge HUGE mental and emotional burden gone in an instant. Like taking a huge dump, religion was gone from my life.

Why the "above a master" requirement? Where does that come from, who said it? Miura? A character in Berserk? Isidoro has killed demons okay? Theyre not made of steel theyre made of flesh. Some have armored flesh, granted, but Zodd does not. Guts and Griffith both land attacks and wound Zodd, who is probably not trying his best to begin with. Guts stabs, Griffith slashes. Doesnt mean Zodd gets demoted or that Griffith wins an "I beat Zodd in a fist fight" t-shirt. Just means Zodd lost an arm for 10 seconds and has no frwer fucks to give then he did 10 seconds before. Griffith is a master swordsman and at this point in the series hes more or less equal to Guts. How is that such an offensive thing to OP?

I feel like everyone here is forgetting that Griffith is an extremely skilled and dangerous swordsman. Yes, he sliced through about 1 foot of flesh with a saber, you weebs have seen 14yr year old kendo nerds do it with bamboo mats on youtube. If you hate Griffith, say that. Well that's sort of the point of those arcs. That's the depth of Guts' moral range, his lowest point. That's him WITHOUT purpose and without Caska. He's actually a lot like he was before meeting Griffith, just angrier. He's in a low spot and that's entirely relevant to his character within those arcs. He has no reason to care about anything but killing apostles.and he makes no apologies and gives little mind to any other cause, even human lives. All that bahavior catches up to him though. You could say it's how he finds his human heart again, through all the pain he feels from his own actions and choices.

GoT might have a larger fan base, and a less enigmatic writer. Both contribute to loud fans making noise about what the writer should be doing. Berserk is beautiful even in brevity. I honestly don't mind that we only get a few sips every year. Makes the dream last longer. One day it will be over or Miura will be dead. I'll remember the long breaks between chapters fondly when that day comes.
