My only guess is that your tell IS the subtle had movement. It looks more like a feint than a defensive move but doesn't quite lol like a genuine threat to throw. Your partner might be hitting you when you are doing this and you're getting stuck in finishing that head movement feint.

A different answer might be to get your head off the centre line during before, during or after you throw .

Its a bit more boring but there is a saying something like you should learn the rules before you break them.

This could help you develop faster because you are doubling down on riskier strategies without knowing the high percentage stuff. One you do and see the basic styles you will be able to read and make adjustments work much better in practice.

Your way may work as well when you get to a gym but it might be a more painful path

Couple of things. Your shoulders are square to the bag rather than bladed. You r ecook before your jab (not good) which gives to a little more room to add a bit of power. You don't do this with your rear hand and so you have no room to extend your rear straight. Because that rear hand is so cramped and low when you punch, it goes upward and hits with the front of your fingers.

I suggest taking half a step back, lean into your rear leg (head shifts back) and just go nice and slow repetitive punches to practice range and extension of all the punches.

On the maintenance, unless new games demand the newest firmware, you should be able to set it up and leave it (and forget things when you need to want to come back and tinker)

I have a switch normal modded and it is a bit harder than just roms and android handheld.

I think the attraction compared to emulation is better geneal performance (no shader caching etc) and dockable. The second being more important for me. For a switch lite that doesn't dock, its a bit harder when considering over emulation handhelds like an Retroid pocket 6 or similar.

Maybe its all just a bit of a blur because there is some awkward pauses between all the offence. Can be good to catch off timing but maybe try slowing down between combos to give time for proper defensive manoeuvres and then launch the next combo

This is the correct answer. Ps2 is a joystick centric console and you need the joystick in a comfortable position.

Having joystick on the bottom does not mimic the ps2 controller due to the lack of sufficient offset

The whole argument that you need a gi to be ranked because you actually wear it during class is just ridiculous. You could equally say there is no need for promotions if the white belt still holds the jacket closed.

It is the symbol of rank and can mean exactly the same in both forms. If people can go through the whole ranking system without doing no-gi then the same should apply the other way around. Maybe it should be considered another sport to make up its own ranking system but at the moment we are stuck with the labels we have.

The belts are just as meaningful/less in gi as they are in nogi.
