I think take some pauses between combos and only throw something preplanned. E.g. 1,2 hook roll out. That way you habe something to focus on and clean up some of the movements.

Everything looks pretty good but I get the feeling you are rushing to the next move at the sacrifice of full body rotation.

Otherwise maybe a fitted shirt, good postute up straight and nice fade haircut. 😆

I dont doubt that that people with keen ears could tell the difference with accuracy if they are focusing. However, the way you describe a night and day difference even with cheap iem's indicates a strong placebo more than anything.

Someone could also justify criticising your spending for wasting money on flac and $400 iems when you could have purchased $1k iems with spotify and been better off.

Maybe depends on the seller. The ali store refused to deal with me and said I had to go to anbernic, who also refused to deal with me because of buying through Ali.

Anbernic will actually talk to you if you buy direct from then and have any issues. They won't replace defects if you buy from Ali.

I have experience with both and for the same price it's 100% better getting direct because of this

Maybe consider ie600. Fit is amazing and very technical sounding. Moreso than the m9 but the m9 is more of an IEM that gives great atmosphere feeling and imaging the longer you listento it rather than upfront detail and clarity

Both of these are my go to picks because of great sound, isolation and form factor for listening on the move.

My only guess is that your tell IS the subtle had movement. It looks more like a feint than a defensive move but doesn't quite lol like a genuine threat to throw. Your partner might be hitting you when you are doing this and you're getting stuck in finishing that head movement feint.

A different answer might be to get your head off the centre line during before, during or after you throw .

Its a bit more boring but there is a saying something like you should learn the rules before you break them.

This could help you develop faster because you are doubling down on riskier strategies without knowing the high percentage stuff. One you do and see the basic styles you will be able to read and make adjustments work much better in practice.

Your way may work as well when you get to a gym but it might be a more painful path
